husband and I was in a deep depression so I continued to use it. My poor cats did not like it but what other choice did they have but I did mix it with other litter as per recommendation with introduction of new litters. Of course the house smelled with the permeating aroma for a few days but I persevered. Eventually the remainder had to go, the smell was very stale and almost mould like and could not be tolerated any longer.

I will state however that the clumping ability and no tracking was superior to any other litter I've ever purchased and it also prevented the leaking to the base of the litter box which makes clean up so simple not forgetting that during cleaning of the boxes there was absolutely no plumes of dust puffing up into your face and lungs. Big bonus! Flushable, another bonus!

Of course I had made the decision to never buy again until I saw the TV advertisements of this product recently being aired. I then decided to contact the company to express my disappointment and explain my experience of which I received a response the very next day stating that,...

"We’re sorry to hear that the smell was unpleasant. While the product does not contain added fragrance, we’ve identified that a specific manufacturing batch fell short of our quality standards. That issue has been addressed and all affected stock has been removed from circulation".

So, I am now feeling a little more confident to actually try this product once more as so many reviews spruiked it's amazing effectiveness before AND after my negative experience. I have searched today to look into buying again but some of my normal go to sites do not stock at the moment and I might know why.

I understand that every now and then there are problems that can affect any manufactured item and yet I am surprised I could not find any mention of a recall until I contacted the company directly. The Batch number of the litter I bought shows 2025/01/22-QD.

Awesome all round litter! – 3 cat owner, all different toileting habits and preferences including being senior.... this litter is by far the best all round! Best litter, odor and moisture control even in hot Queensland weather – It seem expensive at first, but clumps so well that a 4kg bag ends up lasting well over a month for our 2 indoor cats, than other litters. So is actually saving money in the long term. We clean the clumps out daily, but even on a hot Queensland day, the odor is low. No dust and gentle on soft paws. Show details

The new formulation with *strong deodorant* is far too over powering. The smell stays on my cat and she now excessively cleans herself. The intense deodorant now makes the cat poo and wee smell worse! The original formula was functionally perfect with just the right amount of scent. Don't fix it if it ain't broke! Show details

Well, perhaps its a bad batch but the smell of the charcoal activated tofu is so overpowering and my cats won't use it. Previously I had used the the same brand but the Plus, not the Original and it was a real hit. I have had to put that tray on the patio to get the smell outside. Wasted money on a box! Show details

Not worth the price and hype – Pros: Clumps really nicely, flushable, no dust and the litter itself when clean, has no smell. was previously using, which generated zero smell and tracked so much less, I rate this very poorly and feel it does not absorb odours. I'm also going through 4kg per week, when a bag should technically last 2-3 weeks at minimum. I'll use up the bags I have, but will not be repurchasing, especially at this price.

By far the best litter I've tried – My cats used to use clay litter. Since I moved into a very small apartment I needed to find something with better odour control and less dust. their feet, the odour control is far better than anything else I've used, it clumps very quickly but doesn't form a cement that's difficult to scrape off the box - changing it is much less of a chore. And it's flushable! I was dubious about this but I've been using it for a year, and I think if it was going to block the pipes it would have done so by now. The only downside is the price - currently $24 for 4kg at Woolworths - but that's balanced by how long it lasts. I have two cats using the one box and 4kg lasts three weeks, so $8 a week.

It does track, but I say if a cat doesn't track litter it's because they're not really trying! I have a champion spreader of litter, so it's not a reflection on the litter. More important than the odd piece of litter on the carpet is the lack of dust, and the odour control, without the litter's scent being too strong (hardly noticeable once it's out of the bag). It's very easy to pour from the bag (which has a useful ziplock for anyone not using it all at once) and easy to tip the used litter out of the tray when changing it - any clumps scrape off easily with a plastic scoop. Absolutely recommend this product.

Very high performing tofu cat litter!! – I have changed my cat litter from Cature to Tofu Cat Litter Australia recently and impressed by its performance! The cat litter is leaner and longer than most of other brands but it’s highly water absorbing and gives very satisfying odor control.
