Perfect Italian Oven – Just bought a Lofra 70cm freestanding oven and am exceptionally pleased with it's quality and look - it looks restaurant quality! Very pleased also that the lid covers the burners and makes the whole kitchen look sleeker but gives me more bench space - it's much sexier than my last Italian oven!

i really like our oven! – We purchased the Lofra LEF7EFSS about 8 years ago and a few things are just starting to go now In Feb this year the bottom element went with a cost of over $500 to fix (most in labour - the part was 205) and now in December with 3 days til Christmas (argh) the back 'ring' element has gone. I think it is time to replace. I figure 8 years isn't… Read more

bad for our oven - the only other problem was the timer broke (we got the technician to bypass it so we didn't use the timer) and one of the gas lighters went (and we just use a match)

I guess it's not the best oven but for the price we paid we loved it

It looks fantastic and the glass top is great for extending the benchtop

We too were limited by what we could choose with the space and wanted an electric oven with a gas cooktop

Not sure what brand i'll go for next but on all the reviews, probably not the Lofra

PS We use Master appliances after it went out of warranty and they were fantastic - call to let you know they are coming / quickly get back to emails even 3 days prior to Christmas - i can't recommend them enough (master appliance service at hornsby) Glass top, ability to get gas cooktop and electric oven Exy to fix

Stick To Coal – A good looking oven but that's about it. The oven seal does not work, the face board diagram have rubbed off as it gets incredibly hot. The glass lid, brought to protect the splash back has shattered once and is currently off as to not shatter it again. The hinge has bent, it was replaced and bent again. The oven door hinge broke so the oven door… Read more

would not stay shut. All auto ignitions on the stove stop do not work including the 3 that have never been used. I never thought that a match would be needed to light the oven, but the auto ignition also does not ignite and when it does it is on for a maximum of 5 minutes. The only positive factor to this oven is the grill or the light that has neve been used. A service man has just looked at the oven once again, he left with a list of repairs! Thank god for extended warranty. Goodbye oven (I hope) Coal works better!

Stay well clear of these ovens – Purchased the Lofra E6GGFLSS gas oven just over a month ago from the good guys. A nightmare. Oven does not cook evenly and the oven seal has already perished. Two weeks of trying to contact Lofra and the good guys about problem to no avail. Stay well away as service is just as poor as oven. The Good Guys should give these ovens the flick, before their good reputation is ruined.

Really NOT Recommended – As we had a 700mm area to fill with a stove, we chose a Lofra. The first 2 stoves were returned. The first one, the elements wouldn't stay alight. It was blamed on the gas from our home, but as it was replacing a gas stove, it was soon realised, it was the stove not the home. The 2nd stove came along & the oven didn't work properly and the gas… Read more

burner on the large Wok burner wouldn't light. That stove was replaced with Lofra number 3. We have had it for just over 3 years (so its now out of warranty) and the oven has just died. It has had quite a bit of use, but not excessive.

So very disappointing. Just a really lousy, badly made product, which has cost us a considerable amount of money. We should've chosen anything but this brand. Attractive to look at. Reasonable reputation. Fault after fault with it. Aside from its appearance, difficult to find any pluses.

Terrible – Oven cooks around 20deg under temp. Had the Lofra serviceman out who claimed to increase temp., but it still cooks inconsistently. I am very frustrated at trying to regulate and work out a formula where it cooks to the correct temp. Front of cooker also gets extremely hot. I have given up and will buy a new cooker, definately will not be a Lofra. It fits Oven

Lofra i700 Oven – Bought this to replace old Chef Gas Cooker. I have only had the appliance for a few months, but never had a problem with the burners or the oven cooking properly. The Grill works amazingly well. The oven works well, never had the issues with the oven temperature, or the racks being stable. The oven is easy to clean - everything just comes… Read more

apart and goes back together easily (after you work it out). The burners are good.

Will agree that you have the hold the nob down for the oven a little longer than most ovens. Also have not had to deal with customer service yet (hopefully never based on some comments) The Glass Lid, Grill, Burners and Wok attachment, the oven works well Having to have the glass lid up, when using the oven and grill, defeats the purpose of additional bench space.

Disappointed – Our Lofra cooker is actually seven year old, can't believe we have had it that long. Thought it was great at first, the cook top has not been a problem, but the oven is disappointing. We have gone through 3 rear elements which are a pain to change we live miles from anywhere so getting a service man is really hard. The oven temperature is so up… Read more

and down,I'll think I've got it cranked up for a roast and low and behold it's dropped to 160c, and it won't get higher. Baking cakes etc I am constantly checking the temp with the gauge I have in the oven which does n't match the external control. The writing below the knobs has rubbed away from when I was wiping it down while still warm, looks messy. The rubbers have all perished around the door. cheap, looked good and fitted in the gap from the previous oven 700mm wide. goes through elements, oven temperature not consintant

Does the job well – I've had this oven for about 2 years and 'touch wood' it hasn't had anything major go wrong with it. I only read the reviews for it after I bought it and was filled with doubt and buyer's remorse! Since then I've nearly been expecting something to go wrong, but it hasn't. It cooks a good roast, bakes a great cake and does all that I would expect… Read more

of it. I don't need the rotiserrie or the wok attachment and think they are gimmicky for any product. I'm happy with it and get a lot of comments about how great it looks. For the price and what I need, it's spot on. Looks good, easy to clean, cooks well. Oven ignition takes a while to catch and stay on (about 15 secs)

Terrible – The gas oven was a major disappointment. If a recipe says 50 minutes, the cake will take 2 hours to bake, brown at the bottom but not at the top. Pies are the same - they won't brown. Size Gas oven Lamp expired on the first day Knob ignition doesn't work

The Lofra cooktop/oven has been great for us – We have had our Lofra for 10yrs without any problems at all. After 3yrs we removed the glass lid - it looked great at the start but we ended up having it up all the time & it started falling down. The cook top is fantastic. I use the oven all the time for roasts & baking & it is only now that one of the elements has gone & it takes a lot longer… Read more

to heat up & cook. I am by no means a professional chef but it has worked fine for us. It still looks fantastic too. Looks great, cooks well, value for money.

Bad – The spring tension on the lid is failing, the lid falls down without warning and nearly burning my wife with 2 litres of hot oil. Any sudgestions would be appre, or if you have a repair manual so i can access the springs, surely your designers or engineers could forsee something as basic as this. Regards nick metrocarports@iprimus .com.au Its nice After 12 months some things begin to fail

Good – Needed a 70cm replacement and there wasn't much of a choice on the market.Overall a very good piece and haven't had a problem with it except for the burner diagrams rubbing off after a few years of cleaning. My neighbour got the same after I recommended it and hasn't had a problem either gas in both cooktop and oven.glass lid not too much

Terrible – Would not recommend Lofra products to anybody. Was seduced by a pretty face but the product is trash. To add insult to injury, I have just investigated why our range hood was making terrible noises. Turns out it was a Lofra as well. (Not disclosed when we bought it from the "Good Guys"). Lofra are cowboys. My practice in the past has been to buy… Read more

good quality regardless of price. This is going to turn into a very expensive mistake. I will need to replace both units and there is one thing for sure. They will not be replaced with junk like this. It fits the available space Rubbish. The cook top goes OK but the oven does not even come close to cooking properly. They ( ???) sent an extra baffle plate to be added to the base of the oven. It stopped it from scorching everything that we attempted to roast but took away a tray level. The oven must be pre-heated for at least 1/2 hr before attempting to cook and even then you cannot be sure of your results

OK – We (users) don't know how many good LOFRA stoves is there so it hard to be objective but before one buys one should make sure that the retailer promisses on paper to take care if there are problems. The reason - I think - is that the warranty is provided by third party 'Think Appliances' and they are not up to scratch. Unique 700 gas/gas stove… Read more

model LEF7GG.3SS. After installation by licenced gas fitter he informed me that the electronic ignition does not work later I found that the electric grill is dead. I registered and activated the warranty with Think Appliances. First they booked the repair with contractors who were on holliday. So after couple of days of silence I called 'Think' and they changed the contractor who did not respond etc. It is now third week after purchase from TheGoodGuys and after telephone to the GOODGUYS manager we hope that the contractor will visit us within day or two. But why did I need to call senior staff for help I cannot comprehend.

Still we are not using the stove as we suppose to so there could be more problems waiting.

I have to admitt that I ignored the (at the time) one not so good review and I should have believed.

OK – The I700 oven by Lofra has not been in production for a number of years. The current model is the LEF700GG3F. This was brought in when the local dealership changed from Nomalon Imports to Think Appliances. Many of the issues with regard to service etc were also resolved at that time - from my memory about 6 or 7 years ago, maybe even more. It… Read more

would seem therefore that the reviews here are not addressing current issues. I sell Lofra, I have been selling it for ten years. I have many many happy customers who have expressed gratitude for my showing them Lofra products. The product here reviewed is no longer in the market. The reviews are irrelevant

Terrible – Our Lofra oven has actually served us very well. Last week however one of the tray/oven rails just fell off. The oven is still under warranty so we called Think Appliances to organise a replacement part. After many calls I finally got through and was told that the damage must simply be caused from "abuse" and that our warranty would no longer… Read more

apply. I invited them to come and inspect the oven but was told that they would not need to - it was obvious from a telephone call that the warranty would be void! Their service was appalling. It took a week of phone calls (the person I was talking to kept telling me I had to catch the manager in a "good mood" if I wanted a warranty service) to get a result and even then Think demanded that I post the faulty part back to them to prove my claim. I will never buy another product that is serviced by Think Appliances. No problems with the oven itself The real problem is with Think Appliances - their service is terrible

Terrible – Useless product - useless service - absolutely hopeless company with no backup to follow through on 3 year warrantees which are meaningless. Get a known brand and avoid these cowboys like the plague Don't know what made me get it Doesn't work

Good – After reading the bad reviews on this site, I really thought this oven must be a lemon but I am really pleased with it. Easy to use, easy to clean, and cooks everything I have tried well. I know dissatisfaction is easier to express but seeing another good review prompted me to write this. good design, easy clean

Good – Oven has been brilliant ever since I recieved the baffle plate. Think Customer care was exlempary and Im glad I didnt listen to all the bad reviews. Good – I have had no problems with my cooker and it cooks fine. I did have a slight initial issue with the door but Think fixed it very quickly and efficiently. Good – When I did a kitchen renovation 2 years ago I needed a 700mm wide oven, and therefore I had little to no other choice apart from the Lofra. After doing some research on this website I was very worried about purchasing the Lofra, but as stated I had little choice. After using the oven for over a year I am happy to say that the stove has performed… Read more

well and I do not regret the purchase.

The glass top has proved to be very useful and provides extra space in our small kitchen. The 5 burner stove is very good with the large burner easily able to boil 8litres of water for spaghetti, and the small burner great for low heat simmering. The stove is also very easy to clean. The grill is very good and has a very good heat output, easily able to burn food if left unattended (this is a good thing). The oven is not too easy to clean ( I have never seen an oven that is), but performs reliably. We have cooked many cakes, roast dinners, pizzas and even a turkey, and have never been disappointed in the ovens performance. I still have not used the rotisserie as the cross support bar does not appear to fit in the oven without damaging the oven lining. My calls to Think appliances to try to resolve this were unsuccessful as was my trip to the Good Guys, although they were much easier to deal with. The oven light bulb failed shortly after the purchase but this was easily fixed after a trip to bunnings for the bulb and a 2min job in replacing it. The timer is only up to an hour (I wanted longer for the turkey) and feels of poor quality, however it has never failed – a digital timer would looked much better.

I am not sure what the more expensive ovens offer, however I dont believe they could be woth twice as much as this oven. I have been satisfied with the Lofra oven and is a good feature of our kitchen. After reading some of the other reviews, there must be some bad ovens out there, however I got a good one. I hope this helps Glass top, 700 mm wide, looks good. Oven is reliable and performs as I expected. Good value Agree with other review that the customer service from Think appliances is poor. When I called for help with the rotisserie they were no help. Timer feels of poor quality
