Headset Pretty Good – With the lockdown, running online classes has become the norm and many students were complaining that they couldn't always hear my voice. So I caved in and bought a microphone headset. Didn't want to fork out for an expensive gaming set, so after a little investigating, settled on a mid price-ranged set that was more geared towards conferencing rather than gaming.

The headset has good sound, the mic performs well and can be folded up out of the way. It has a red light on the cord to remind you if you have turned the mute button on. They are reasonable comfortable and while having to wear them is tiresome, they function well and the students have not reported any further problems with hearing me. Sound is clear and there is no feedback and even after hours of wearing them, don't feel like I have to rip them off or I will go insane.

The cord is just under 2 m long and is sturdy, doesn't feel like it will fray after a week of usage. The only gripe I have is that it is USB A, something I didn't consider when buying, as my laptop only has USB C ports, so that was disappointing. Luckily i had a USB A to C adaptor that came with a phone I bought last year, which solved that problem, but it would have been nice to have that shipped with the headset, since USB C is pretty standard today.
