Went to Lucky Chan on our first night in Melbourne from UK.The food was average to say the least one of our party had pieces of chicken in honey and steamed rice, the chicken turned out to 6 or 7 chicken wings in batter and no sauce, they were dry and tasteless and with the rice cost 45.50 honestly KFC would have been better another member of our party got a beef dish which was chewy and forgettable to round a poor meal of before and not getting asked if our meal was ok or would you like anything else the bill was just left at our table with the implication that you have finished now please leave,in all very disappointing
Lucky Chan Chinese restaurant not so Lucky at Crown Casino – Had dinner to celebrate my wife’s 60th. Food was above average Chinese so cannot fault the dishes. Ordered a total of 4 beers. Bill for two came to $207 + $27 service, that’s fine but unlike Vancouver you get to select 15/20/25% gratuities here we were not advised. Anyway I paid then I suddenly realised the bill included 6 beers in total. When I told them about this and my wife doesn’t drink that much the chap was quick to not offer a reversal on my cc but simply gave me $24 in cash and said we are very busy. Well we were the first customers in at opening time so it wasn’t ‘very busy’. Won’t be coming back during our stay in Melbourne so lost custom with me. Chinese restaurant in a casino my advice to other punters scrutinise your bill as we did can’t feel but we had been played by the house.
