Exceeding “Processing” expectations – Absolutely enjoying my first MagiMix product. It’s quiet (still a food processor of course) which was one of the main reasons I opted for the MagiMix over other brands. My kids love the French fries is the optional accessory! It was also a massive step up in terms of capacity and capabilities over our old Bosch. Hope it will last as long (Bosch… Read more
Mum Professional lasted us 12+ years).
Lastly, really enjoying the ideas in the provided cookbooks for inspiration.
Best Machine Ever – I love how easy this processor is to use ~ and perfect result's EVERY TIME ~ the recipes are amazing too ~ highly recommend to everyone Show details
Kitchen life is easier – No regrets on this purchase. Performs all tasks well. Impressive power. Show details
LOVE IT! – I bought this as a birthday gift for my partner, and we both LOVE IT! My partner, who's a great chef, said it's nice and easy to use, chopping and blending things up so quickly, and isn't noisy at all. And me, who washed the dishes since we don't have a dishwasher at home, thought it was easier to clean than I expected. I used to dread cleaning… Read more
our old blender, but every component in this food processor can be taken apart and is quite easy to assemble, so it's very simple and easy to clean. I'm so glad it turned out to be an excellent gift for both of us. Would recommend.
Perfect upgrade – I had a very old magimix, possibly 40years old. It was very sad. So I finally treated myself and got an upgrade. This machine is amazing with so many different functions. Show details

This is an excellent appliance with quiet operation. The quietness is enabled by one of the most powerful motors available on a food processor. The bowls are made of very tough plastic and are do not distort when placed in the dishwasher at high… Read more
temperature. The only regret was that we didn't buy the Premium to get the additional blades. The instructions on which accessory to use for different uses could be explained better in the manuals. We also have a Patissier which it would be good to replace with a Cook Expert.
Follow-up · We would like to replace the Patissier with a Cook Expert. The instructions are a hard to find which accessory to use for which use.
The blade is very sharp and noise is not too bad to compare with other brand’s food processor. It’s quite quiet. The thing is in the middle, there is a hole so sometimes the food is leaking through the hole. I can tell this is only one bad thing about the machine. I can feel the motor is quite strong and stable. Show details
Follow-up · A small amount of food is sometimes coming out through the hole in the blade holder. The motor seems very strong and quite quiet to compare to my previous Braun food processor.

I purchased a 5200 XL food processor to replace an 18 month old KitchenAid. The Magimix is a much more robust appliance. I love that the lid is a simple twist and click on to the bowl. No fussy hinges and plastic clips to snap off! It also has a nice neat box to store the accessories in, much safer than unpacking a jigsaw puzzle of blades and… Read more
accessories from a processor bowl. All the accessories are clearly marked with what their function is. I really like the three bowls, ideal for different quantities of food. So far I have used it to make pastry, stuffings, burger mixes, dough for biscuits, fruit puree, grating veg for fritters and slicing veg for gratins. The accompanying hardback book clearly illustrates how to use each accessory and gives some useful recipes too. Cleaning is easy as there are very few 'food traps' in the bowl(s) and lid. As a keen cook, I also appreciate the optional extras that can be purchased. Overall, I'm very happy with the Magimix's performance and quality build.
Chops fine, but you'll spend the time it saves clearing gunk from the ridiculous number of crevices – I bought this to chop vegetables and mix dough. It's powerful enough to do these, but it's not always worth the considerable effort required to clean, so I don't use it as much as I thought I would. The machine itself has a safety mechanism that engages the motor only when the main bowl, lid, and feed chute are all locked in place. I appreciate… Read more
the thoughtful design. What I don't appreciate are the numerous crevices required to make it all work. Gunk builds up in these and quickly becomes a nightmare.
Chopping: tears through vegetables and legumes. There'll be uneven chunks. Open the lid to redistribute them. Lid won't lock because some chopped carrot's gotten caught in the threads. Clear it. Chop again. Wonder how the celery wriggled up the feed chute despite not using it. Use the mini-bowl because it's half the size, so half the mess, right? Wrong. Mini-bowl needs to lock onto the main bowl. Now there's onion splattered all over the inside and outside of the mini-bowl and all over the main bowl too. Wash up. Put on a video of Martin Yan disassembling a whole chicken with a Chinese kitchen knife. By the time the bowls, blades, lids, and various parts are dripping on the dish rack, Martin's taken apart 33 chickens.
Dough mixing: powerful motor can make short work of the toughest dough. Spend 80% of the time redistributing the flour and water with the spatula. A bit of dough, too small to notice, gets trapped under the blade. Processor chugs along for a minute. Then it stops. That little bit of dough has built up. It's climbed up the inside of the main blade, spread throughout the cavity, then crawled down and filled the space between the bowl and stem. Clear these out quickly. Use the spatula to ensure nothing's under the blade this time. Pulse. Pulse. Pulse. Dead. Like homeopathy, the dough has traced its path back to the stem and clings with a vengeance. Sigh. Scrape whatever's salvageable from the main bowl. Notice that it's speckled with blue plastic shards which have broken off the spatula. Sigh. Check Gumtree for a Kenwood Chef.
In short: Use it to prep no less than 3kg of soffritto. Motor good. Accessories flimsy. Safety good. Cleaning Sisyphean.
Excellent quality and simple to use – I recently purchased the Magimix 5200XL Premium via Qantas Marketplace. (The 'Premium' version is the same as the 5200 XL but comes with additional blades and citrus press, which works out better value than purchasing each separately). First and foremost - the box is HUGE (and quite heavy at 16kg). If you're buying this online and collecting from… Read more
your local post office, make sure you park close to the door (or bring someone with you to carry it to the car!). Upon unboxing you can tell from its weight and finishes that it's a very decent quality appliance. It has three simple buttons: 'Stop', 'Auto' and 'Pulse' so it's very easy to use.
I'm fairly new to food processors, as I've only owned a Kmart cheapie before, which didn't have much grunt (it's now been recycled). I bought the Magimix 5200XL as I also wanted to start juicing, and the Magimix does both. The plethora of blades and attachments can be a little daunting at first, and it might look a bit strange, as it comes with three bowl sizes which nest inside of each other, however it comes with some easy to read recipe books and simple instructions. I've only had my Magimix a few weeks now, and have made a few simple things so far, guacamole, juices and bread, but I've so far found it very simple to use and easy to clean. I don't find it particularly quiet (I've read other reviews where people have mentioned that it's quiet) however this could be because I've never owned/used a decent food processor before, and am not sure how loud they usually are. I find it as loud as a standard blender - so not overly loud but not 'quiet'.
All in all I'm very happy with my Magimix!

Excellent machine. Does all the tasks i need. Making a dough, slicing, grating, dicing. Also love citrus attachment tool for making quick orange juice. I had also purchased dicing kit. I only wished it to have bigger feeding chute for larger size potato and onion. I had purchased 5200xl along with dicing kit bundle. Show details

Excellent device. Makes all job easier. I use it for making a dough, puree, slicing, grating and occasionally dicing. I had purchased separate dicing too. I love citrus attachment which is useful in making quick orange juice. The only feedback to magimix team is to make bigger feeding chute for bigger size tomatoes and onion. I purchased it in the bundle deal along with dicing kit. So, price includes magimix 5200xl and dicing kit together Show details
I’ve been genuinely impressed with my Magimix food processor. It’s incredibly solid, well-built, and handles everything I throw at it without hesitation, from slicing and grating to kneading dough. The motor is powerful but surprisingly quiet, and the simplicity of the controls makes it a pleasure to use. It feels like a long-term kitchen investment rather than a disposable appliance. Overall, it’s been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. Show details
Easy to use. Excellent quality, powerful motor. 3 bowls of difference sizes, which is a bonus, making product more versatile. Attachment are made of high quality. I just bought the Magimix 5200XL and I’m genuinely stoked. My parents owned a Magimix back in the 90s, and I still remember how solid and reliable it felt — this machine brings back that exact same confidence. Decades later, the build quality, performance, and design clearly haven’t been compromised. It feels powerful, precise, and made to last,… Read more
not like a disposable kitchen gadget. It’s rare to see a brand maintain this level of quality over generations, and Magimix has absolutely done that.
Feels like buying something once, properly — just like my parents did.
After using a 3000 series Magimix for over two decades, I finally upgraded to the larger 5200XL and the difference is immediately noticeable. More powerful as it cut through all the ingredients with ease and with more attachments it has become way more versatile. Making it a joy to use, hopefully for years to come. Show details
it's a great machine with lots of care and consideration in mind, however I find it inconvenient when using middle and small bowels,I have to use the big bowel as well. I wish I can use each bowel independently Show details
I’m very happy with this purchase — it’s powerful, easy to use, and makes meal prep so quick. Chops, mixes, and blends perfectly every time. Cleaning is simple too. Highly recommend! Show details
Bought this for my mum. She bought her Magimix in the 80's and having only needed replacement bowls and blades a handful of times its been the best processor ever. I recently used it and love its automatic features and sensors. Its so easy to use and intuitive. For what you pay it is a far better investment than other processors out there. Its also attractive. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Show details
My first food processor, unparalleled ease and results. Love it. Has saved me much time in the kitchen with prep time of larger meals. 2 points to improve - price and option for glass bowls. It's an investment. Show details

I love my Magimix food processor. There is really no regrets except one thing found out you do not replace plastic. What about bowls and a guarantee for that for these types of food processors. Otherwise I am very happy. Show details
I have always dreamed of having a Magimix. When I finally became adult enough to invest in quality kitchen appliances you bet I bought myself a top of the range Magimix and it has definitely lived up to my expectations... and beyond! for me. Additionally, I was lucky that it was purchased with the juice extractor and have found myself making fresh juices every few days, definitely better than having to pay eye-watering amounts at the shops these days. I have blitzed together the creamiest soups, sauces, made the best pastry bases, and seriously can't wait to explore more amazing recipes I can make with it. Definitely an appliance worth investing in.
Great machine – I love it, the quality is good and it is powerful. The one thing I would like is a cover for the centre hole after you remove the blade from the bowl Show details
All in One Kitchen Assistant – This is the ONE reliable kitchen assistant I have now, especially when I am in a rush, but still want to cook good food, for my family of six! My Magimix never lets me down, be it a luxurious meal like biriyani, South Indian dishes or large quantity protein balls to last for a week. I keep using all the accessories (slicing, shredding, spiralising, juicer, kneading) from time to time and it never fails to impress. A worthy investment for sure. Show details
