Magimix Compact 3200 XL

mini bowl is super useful for smaller jobs, and I find myself using this more than the larger one.

The processor is quiet (relative to others), there is no belt inside so you don't get a high pitches whine when its running. The induction motor is fantastic.

The machine is not without its flaws though. Be prepared for a LOT of cleaning. There is 4 parts to the feed chute plunger, meaning that when you process carrots, onion or any liquids, expect to have to disassemble the four parts and wash all of them because food will fling and/or splash up into it. One of the other issues I have is the set-up of the mini bowl that needs to sit inside the larger one, and when blending veg and liquids it will splash up onto the lid. When you remove the lid it will drip down into the larger bowl, meaning you are also going to have to clean this also.

After all that, I would still buy this product again. Its restaurant grade, the build quality is superb, and its quiet! Plus lifetime warranty!!!

butter as you’d expect take a little time but this machine is more than capable and it makes short work of beating egg whites.

So far the main down side for me it how much washing up is created so I tend to do prep of veg etc in one go so this is limited. I’m also using my own silicone spatula as I personally find this more efficient. I debated for some time on buying one mainly down the cost and I can’t say I regrets it as all but it is something that you need to make use of to warrant the cost. I’d hoped to re-home some kitchen equipment but so far haven’t as for the quick blitz it’s often easier to continue to use what I had then wash up what seems like the entire magi mix

space… something I value the most above all other features. Lastly, I have recently started buying products consciously so I am glad this product is made toxins free. This only downside I can think of is blending feature doesn’t work well on small quantity of food for baby meals.

I am expecting a stronger motor from a food processor that cost more than $500. Not strong enough to process mince meat to make Indonesian style meat balls. Motor stopped working and have to wait about 1 hour for it to cool down. Disappointing!!! Show details

and no easy way to pour out what you’ve made. When it comes to the smaller bowls they work ok on small amounts but you still have to clean the big bowl. The blade demounts each time you put the bowl on to the motor, meaning you have to get your hands messy putting it back on, which is just painful! I haven’t found it can cope with making nut or seed butters which for such a powerful machine I would have hoped it could do, similarly it didn’t cope well with ice cubes. And the customer service just seems to be so far behind newer companies, with no way to return if your not satisfied and so I’m left with a product that now causes frustration each time I have to get it out. I can’t recommend this product.

Always wanted one of these - the quality of the materials/drive was the main criteria for purchase. Very thick plastic bowls that will last the hammering it will get. worth buying. The attachments - when your container is full of ingredients, and the attachment is on, it dislodges every time you put it into the machine. The second thing is that there are three containers in one, but if you're using one of the smaller ones, you still need to use the larger one to make the machine work meaning it will also often get dirty. So expect extra cleaning. Lastly, the actual attachment mechanism to the machine doesn't feel smooth at all and in particular the lid doesn't have a satisfying lock into place. It feels almost forced (yes I'm using it correctly, have watched tutorials and read the instructions cover to cover). If these downsides aren't deal breakers, get this processor. I have only had mine a few months now, but it feels like it will last a lifetime.

After owning a Magimix for over 30 years, it finally gave up. I have replaced it with the latest 3200XL. What an upgrade, it handles all my chopping, grating, whipping needs with ease. So much better than the old one. Show details

The new machine seems a bit quieter and the attachments all seem sharper (I suppose mine had been around a while). It does absolutely everything I need it for, but I keep my stick blender because I do big batches of soup that would take too long to do in the 3200 XL. I've also had great assistance over the phone from Magimix, which convinced me to buy again. You'll spend more on it, but never regret it!

Reliability wins the day – Our old Magimix 'died' after 42 years of faithful service, so it was a no-brainer to stick with the brand. One of the most obvious changes was the three bowls, which is much more convenient for different load sizes. Amazing product, but cleaning is a hassle – I love using my Magimix as it make life so much easier when I'm cutting up large portions of food. However, even if I use it to cut up small portions, I would still be required to clean through all the tools.

The best food processor on the market – Performs quickly and effectively when making short crust pastry. Slicing of potatoes for gratin very quick and uniform using the thick slicing blade and wide feed tube. Small bowl perfect for chopping small quantities of herbs and nuts. Show details

Good quality – Build quality is great. Used to make pesto, hummus, grate veggies. Is on the expensive side but quality of materials suggest it would last a long time. Base is quite heavy.
