shame. We were so looking forward to our lunch and showing this place off to our interstate visitors but we all came away disappointed.

Fantastic – Fantastic fresh seafood at great prices, my number one seafood restaurant on Sunshine Coast for sure. The Oysters were fresh and tasty, whilst the seafood platter was plentiful with fresh yummy cold seafood, while the hot seafood was freshly cooked and not one of those that sits in a warmer. The only draw back was the battered fish was a bit dry and thin, but the batter was nice and crunchy, otherwise no complaints. Service was prompt, friendly and welcoming by the lone lady working front of house. We had a great chat without her being intrusive while dining. Overall great value for money which included two wines and a couple of beers. We will be back as we love our seafood platters. The star rating is 4.5 from us.

Disappointing Seafood Meal – We have been here a couple times and always enjoyed our meals, but last night was a huge disappointment. We ordered the Cold Seafood platter. The only fresh item on it was the oysters. The Bugs, Prawns and Sand crabs had been frozen and defrosted. They were tasteless to the point where the Crad were dry and inedible. At $57 it’s a joke. Lost their way – Alway has been a favourite place to eat with family and friends but unfortunately their quantities and quality of seafood especially freshness has declined in our experience. Not sure if the business has changed hands but service was slow and not up with their usual standards. Will not return ever after many visits. Pity they have gone downhill.
