aspect of the mower, a first-ever for me, was a revelation. I admit, however, that I did leave the mulching part in by accident and when I finished mowing, I thought I would 've had a full catcher and of course there was nothing. My only source of frustration was concerning the assembly of the catcher which was, to say the least, one of the most aggravating times I have had with such products. I felt like I was given a punishment. It was near impossible to align the parts and clip them into place. The catcher sides were bowed because of the very nature of the plastic which made fitting the catcher top lid the worst experience. The 60L capacity of the catcher is quite generous and should meet my needs. I don't envisage emptying it out more than twice each time I cut my lawns. The throttle lever was easy to understand and operate and a choice of three levels to position the frame handle grip. There are 5 levels of depth of cut available and the starter handle is positioned with a rope guide approximately halfway up the frame for ease of starting and hopefully sparing one's back and shoulder of potential pain. The starting instructions were clear and I didn't experience any problems. I am very happy with my purchase thus far and will give the lawnmower 5 stars, but if there was an assembly rating, I would've given it 1 star.

This is our secind Makita lawnmower – I love our makita lawnmower! So easy to use and starts straight away even after 6 years of heavy mowing. It did start surging recently but it way our mistake by accidentally leaving it out in heavy rain.. twice... so when we seen our local shop started selling them again, we did not think twice about going and purchasing another one!
