Not as good as they use too – Terrible product not reliable and bad service, look else where
Makita quality is poor these days – Been through 3 of these in 18 months. One lasted 35 days and are only used for 10mins few times a week. Clutches and chucks give out in them. Makita shame gone to rubbish. Plus batteries dont last long before their charge last 3 mins.

Makita is losing it – Forward / reverse mechanism failed after a couple of days on the job. Took over a month for makita to repair it. I had to get it to the place of purchase and pick it up ! In my opinion that is is really inadequate warranty support.

Makita cordless drill kit DDF482SYE – A great little drill for the price. Plenty of power, great compact size & weight. Very good design & layout allows fast and efficient use especialy during long & tedious work. Eg: fwd/reverse has a nice click/feel to it. Chuck takes my 13mm bit which I use for counter sinking. Box is well laid out also & easy to open unlike most others, no confusion where evertthing goes. Battery has easy attach/release mechanism clearly marked with 30mins recharge, with 2x 1.5Ah, never out of power yet. Only thing slightly off is the led light is a bit close to the body casting a shadow over top half of the work target area but not a big deal, no negative effects on usage. Seen exact same led effect on other brands pro drills cost 4x. Used for 6 months now but still going strong.Overall, great kit for the price.
