Makita DMR108 Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have a dmr108n, it is 2/half years old. In the last week it has emitted a loud static sound when turned on, both on battery and mains. Once it has warmed up which could be 5 minutes it functions as normal. The radio never leaves my shed and is in as new condition. Thank you, Norm.
do i need a charger for the backup battery in dmr102
I have to reset my radio stations on my dmr108 every time i switch it on, any ideas how to fix this
My dmr301 works perfectly but every time I move it, it says power fail and I have to turn it back on. I have got a new one and same thing. Any advice?
The problem is the little switch in the battery compartment. It is located in the lower right corner of the LXT battery. If you play on the battery and lift the battery a little, the radio will think you have removed the battery and turn off. Solution: Stick something on the switch, only 1/2 mm is enough.
HI I have a DMR 108 and its working fine while pluged into the power supply but when I pull the plug out it will not work on any battery supply, I've replaced the battery circuit board (SE000000488) and I still dont have any luck. I've inspected all circuit boards and all joints/wire contacts look good. All batterys are fully charged including the two AA batterys to hold time/station. any help please? Thanks Ray
Ford this dmr 108 charge batterys and how so
What causes the makita DMR108 to go into power fail mode?
If you mean when the screen states "Power Fail". This usually means that it has been disconnected from the mains power in some way and if there is a battery in the unit, it does not automatically change over to the battery if the mains power plug is still plugged into the unit and mains power has been lost somehow.
If you pull the power plug out of the unit with a battery inserted the unit should instantly use the battery with no problem and Power Fail should cease to show.
If it shows Power Fail with only a battery as the power source, I would think this means the battery is flat, bad connection or faulty.
Hope this helps.
I have a fully charged brand new battery in at the moment and is still showing power fail when I press the on off button…
Fresh AA batteries have been installed also.
I have the same problem?
Can i get dab plus radio on my makita dmr108.. if so how do i do it.. TIA
If I leave my 18v 5 hour battery in my DMR 108, job site radio, and use 240v power, will that recharge the 5 hour battery!
No, the 18v battery is only chargeable through the dedicated Makita charger.
Is there a 12v adapter available or do we have to buy an after market?
Not at the time of my purchase, try eBay.
What is the difference between the dmr 108 to the dmr 106?
Why does the back up aa batteries not retain the station settings when the unit is turned off?
It should retain the stations, my best guess is either that batteries are installed incorrectly, are flat or the item itself is faulty and should be exchanged or repaired if it still under warranty.
