Haven’t had major probs with it 2yrs on – Bit of corrosion on top where it meets the flue but that seems to be the case with many heaters anyway. Other than that, haven’t had an issue with it. We’ve had it running every winter for past 2yrs (approx every night for 4 mths each year). Show reply

Fire Hazard. Death trap waiting to happen – We purchased our new Masport Westcott in July 2017. Since then trouble after trouble. When we 1st had it installed we noticed the air slider was snapped in half, then a couple months later fire bricks disintegrating, then the baffle plate started to disintegrate as well, then the glass door exploded, then replacement glass was shipped only to find… Read more
the screws are rusted in, then the fire plate will not budge, then the flue to fireplace corroded now the top of the stove has started to crack in half. Do not waste your hard earned money on something that does not last. We paid $1600 for a piece of garbage that is a fire hazard waiting to happen.
