Broke my TV, refused insurance claim – My toolbox was left in the backyard, tv screen cracked, the staff dropped a box labelled fragile from a height of over a meter, as they were running down the ramp from the truck. Kept running even after the damage. Enamel chipped off the fridge as they did not use any protection under their strapping. You would think that this would have meant they were at least fast, but it wasn’t. Our previous move was done in almost half the time, with fewer movers, over a much longer distance, and in a much more challenging two story house. The final cost was significantly more expensive than quoted, including additional charges for not paying cash, and additional hours for travel to and from their depot, which was not on the original quote.

The damage was reported on the day of the move. Initially they just tried not responding to calls.

During phone calls, his son told us that televisions without original packaging were not included in their insurance, because otherwise they would not be able to survive as a business. He then reeled off a list of all the things not included in their insurance. Good luck making use of the hundreds of thousands of dollars of insurance advertised, seeing as everything you might own is apparently not covered.

Finally after over a month after the move, Paul finally made the time to come over to inspect, after repeated calls by my wife, and repeated failures to respond or to inspect the damage.

His first tactic was to make out we were being unreasonable. “It’s not that bad”.

Then he claimed we damaged it, despite reporting it immediately, and not touching it for a month waiting for them to see it, having made the option of inspection available from the day after the move.

Then he claimed it was impossible that they could have done the damage. According to him, strapping a tv to a mattress makes damage impossible. And they could not have possibly broken it, despite the fact that there is a crack in the screen suggesting that this claim is nonsense. Most modern tvs have lots of warnings on not flexing or applying pressure to the screen, as the glass is prone to damage when improperly handled. A professional mover would take reasonable precautions to avoid such damage. This was a large part of why we hired a supposedly reputable company to move it. If I was looking for someone who didn’t know how to safely move our tv, I would have done it myself.

He then claimed that this was somehow our fault as during the process of moving we were disorganised.

When asked why he took on the job if they felt it was unacceptable, rather than doing a poor job and absolving themselves of responsibility when they damaged our property, he did not seem to have an answer.

When it became apparent he had no intention to resolve the issue, we asked him to leave.

He then proceeded to attempt to intimidate and threaten violence, by stepping towards me and putting his face within a few centimetres of mine. In front of my pregnant wife and two year old daughter.

I repeated for him to get out of my house, as he continued to square up in an attempt to intimidate as a pathetic little bully.

When asked who he thought he was, he then responded with “step outside and find out.” As much as he deserves a good whooping, and it would bring me great joy, I am sure his lonely pathetic existence is punishment enough.

I said ok, and when he stepped out the door to fight, I closed the door on him. He tried to push the door back open, but I locked the deadbolt.

As many other google reviews show, this is a clear strategy to try and escalate the situation and provoke conflict, so he can use it to discount any complaints against his business.

No doubt he will have some pissant excuse about how this was not his fault, as he is clearly an expert of deflection, and a textbook narcissist.

We have reported his threatening behaviour to the local police.

Absolute low life. Avoid this business at all costs. The only thing this company is a master of is damaging property, shirking responsibility, and unprofessional behaviour.

Terrible experience, was left with no furniture for 4 days – I was promised by "Master movers" that my furniture was going to be delivered within 7 working days but it actually took 11 working days and my family had to live in Hotels and dine outside. Below is my experience with Master movers who outsourced my work to "moving professionals" a company with bad reputation To start with, they arrived after 6pm (during winter) to pickup my furniture, I waited for them the whole day. It took them more that 10 working days to deliver the furniture while they promised within 7 days (I was calling them every day as I was staying in a hotel and paying heaps of money". Furniture was damaged on arrival. On the day they were suppose to deliver my furniture "first thing in the morning" they called in the afternoon and told me that it was "physically impossible for them to deliver" and they didn't even confirm the next day arrival which was Saturday and their office was unattended on Friday late afternoon and Saturday.

Horrible – Messed us about and were left with no option but to cancel. Was then charged $275 cancelation fee. The staff were very friendly and helpful right up until I paid my deposit after that goal posts were moved fees went up and the owner was rude bordering on abusive when we tried to complain. Horrible service
