Maven Dental

I went to Maven Dental in Maroochydore while we were on holidays due to toothache. I saw Dr Ami Nambu, who was lovely and very gentle. She diagnosed my tooth problem correctly, and gave me antibiotics to tide me over til I got back home. Price was also very reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to go here if I lived in Maroochydore.
I can not express my gratitude enough for the emergency dental care I received from Dr Rashmita at Maven Dental. Despite the fact that I am travelling and she knew that I can never become a regular patient, Dr Rashmita went out of her way to help me and to try to get to the root of my problem. I can not recommend this service enough. Thank you for your care, concern and advise.
I have worked for dentists and also had a lot of dental procedures, including RCTs, veneers, crowns, bridges, bone grafts and dental implants so am well accustomed to what they do and how they do it. It is a very straight forward procedure to remove a loose crown, clean it and re-cement it. The tooth is going to have a dental implant so I just… Read more
wanted to have it fixed, as a temporary measure.
The very young pleasant Indian lady dentist didn't even touch it. She only looked at it and took a bite wing X-ray which was so painful, I nearly gagged and the X-ray was not as clear as it should have been, but it was adequate.
She said there was a gap between the tooth and the gum, which I was fully aware of and was exactly why I wanted it removed and re-cemented. She said it was not "flapping". No, it was not flapping, as she called it, but it moved about 3mm backwards and forwards and I could not bite or eat with it. My concern was also that it could develop an infection.
She said if she removed it and re-cemented it she could not guarantee it would hold. I said I was not looking for a permanent solution. It was going to be replaced with an implant in two weeks. She evidently either did not have the experience or the confidence to assist me with my discomfort. It was a complete waste of my time. She did not charge me for the consult.
Shortly after I received an email to leave them a review which I could not do as the link to the survey was broken and the page was not secure.
Dr Avind Goomany, Approach with Caution. He ruined my smile. I went to get two new crowns. Prior to Dr Goomany I had a beautiful smile. Now I have two odd crowns, that are bucked and crooked. I also now speak with a lisp, something I did not have before he put my crowns on. He also refuses to refund me, or admit any wrong doing, even though I… Read more
have pictures, x-rays and moulds taken before and after. He is now being investigated by the HCCC Thank goodness. I would never recommend him. He is arrogant and is refusing to admit what he did. I think he is forgetting the simple fact, that he was the dentist who did the work and he is the person who ruined my smile.
Went and had some dental work done and all the dentists were not long out of university instead of having the time to do a procedure properly it was more about getting it done in a certain time frame, the procedure failed and I had to push for a refund and the refund was paid after I got the obesmen involved and I called the mother company,… Read more
dentists need time to do the procedure and especially after they have graduated from university and are learning their skills as this takes time to master, Maven is only worried about the dollar and not the customer service and quality of work, I’m not blaming the dentists however the company needs to take a good look at it’s self
Dr. Cheryl is a revelation—her superb skill is matched only by her exceptional rapport with patients. In stark contrast to the old-school brigade in Maryborough, she brings warmth, precision, and a refreshing sense of respect that immediately puts you at ease. A true professional who listens, explains, and genuinely cares—she’s everything modern medicine should be. Bob Lee
$632 FOR 2 TEETH EXTRACTED!! RIP OFF!!! – My husband had 2 teeth next to each other extracted. Everything went very well - excellent staff, dentist, no after pain etc but they charged $316 per tooth! That’s $632!! The invoice Item No is 311, and when I checked the recommended price for Item 311 in NSW on Dental Aware website, it comes up as $200.22, not $316 per tooth. Rip off!! I was… Read more
shocked as we are pensioners and that’s nearly a fortnight’s payment! When I queried the price, they said the price is set down by Maven Dental (franchise) and they cannot alter it. Surely that might be acceptable in Sydney with people on high wages, but not country NSW!!
Horribly rude staff – The staff at Maven Dental were excessively rude. I showed up for my appointment in the morning and the Maryborough office was closed. When I called they said that they called the night before and I didn’t call back. I work till 6. They were closed. They didn’t leave a message saying that my appointment was canceled. I drove an hour from the bush.… Read more
The receptionist said it was my fault, I didn’t call first. She didn’t even apologise. How horrible, the service before has not been great and the work done below average but they are close and usually not busy. Now I know why. Rating horrible. I didn’t get an appointment.
Terrible experience with irresponsible professionals – I had an absolutely terrible experience at this dental clinic. The person who performed my dental cleaning had no regard for my gums and showed zero compassion for the pain I was experiencing. They left my gums bleeding for days after the procedure. By the second day of the cleaning, I started having intense pain on the left side of my jaw. After… Read more
seeing a specialist, I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, a condition that can result from poor dental treatment and has no cure. I now live with permanent, excruciating pain because of the damage done here.
When I reported the issue Dr Avind Goomany laughed at me and did absolutely nothing. After repeatedly pushing for help, I was finally told there was nothing they could do and, once again, they just laughed. I was also told that the clinic would never take responsibility for the damage caused.
They have completely ruined my life. I now live with constant, unbearable pain that will never go away. Please be extremely cautious and do not risk your oral health by trusting this clinic.
unreliable and expensive – Always running late and often cancel appts booked many weeks earlier at the last minute. I was late by 9 min once to an appt and they wouldn't let me have it... fine if they were prompt themselves but always minimum 30 min late...
Company only cares about bottom dollar – A business that operates in healthcare industry, only cares about cutting costs. So many staff members stressed and taking stress leave. Company never spend any money on staff, management sitting at home ( work from home ) and not present. Practices and dentists are at losing end.
Incompetent Management- Dentists losing pay and leaving – The management at Abano Healthcare (Maven Dental) is totally incompetent and untrust worthy. The dentists and staff never paid right, delayed payments, excuses and empty promises are the norm. Think Twice before joining Abano and maven dental.
Care, Service and Professionalism – Selecting a new dentist can be stressful, as is a visit. The team at Mavern Dental Windsor couldn’t be nicer. Rebecca Cerfontyne and her assistant are a wonderful, gentle and caring team, and super nice to boot. I felt comfortable and placed my trust in Rebecca’s work. I have been 3 times now and highly recommend the practice.
