On off button broke twice – The start button has twice pushed in rendering it impossible to start a wash. This suddenly happens not be use of a hard push on the button. It takes three weeks to get part and $300 . To happen once is very annoying in a ms nine two years old twice ic crazy.

Unreliable – I have had endless problems with this machine. It does not spin properly so clothes are still wet. Goes out of balance with both a very small load or a heavier load, such as towels. The door closer is sensitive, so quite often I have to slam the door to get it to go. I had an Asko before and wished I had paid the extra and bought another Asko.

Really disappointed in this product! – I purchased this washing machine based on the reliable brand. Did I get fooled! I've had lots of issues with this machine. Mainly the door is almost impossible to open. Several repair services due to the water hoses and pumps. Its just stopped working again tonight. I'm not repairing it again! I'll buy a different brand and save money! Very, very disappointed for the large price tag! Quiet Poor quality

Doesn't live up to the Maytag name – We've had this washer since 2009. During that time we've had two service calls. A year after we purchased the machine, it was repaired under warranty as the machine started to leak from the bottom of the machine, and the bottom underside panel rusted. Recently the start button broke off inside the machine control area. This is a rubber button and… Read more

simply parted ways with the machine. We've been advised that it's approximately $280 to fix. It's a pity really, as it is generally a good machine, but I'd question the long term durability, considering there is just two of us.

Leaked water, start button broke off

Maytag Washer built by Whirlpool, and the lack of quality shows – In just over 2 years, this machine has had 3 service calls. Leaks, a failed speed sensor (which required a replacement motor assembly for $400) and now the washer base has rusted, causing the left lower damper to detach. The key to this is that this machine is made in Australia by Whirlpool, and the lack of quality shows. Such a shame,… Read more

because when it worked it was quiet, washed the clothes well and good to use.

I would advise anyone considering buying this machine to buy something else ... I certainly wish that I had. Quiet, User friendly interface, Washes clothes well Unreliable, Not built to "Maytag" standards.

Excellent – Love it to bits - doesn't rip my clothes apart like a top loader either... PS I'm a guy... 8.5 kg capacity. Can wash just about anything in it. Blankets, quilts, car carpets!!! High temp 95 degrees - great for getting grease out of cotton and sanitizing nappies, pet related items, towels and wash cloths etc Has leaked on me twice - both times when… Read more

I put 3 scoops of powder in trying to wash really dirty items (oil soaked carpet and rags) - the water level sensor doesn't seem to be able to handle froth. So all in all probably my fault - too much powder, trying to wash abnormal item (car carpet!)

Terrible – Very poor technology and way overpriced for how it works. I would rate this as a cheap, basic washing machine in performance. I wish they would come with a money back guarantee as I would be asking for it! None that I can see either. Can't spin a couple of items only. They come out as wet as they go in. So when I need to wash a work shirt and… Read more

trouser by hand and spin out the water it can't do it! So what use is this machine? Does hold water in the door seal which I have to wipe up after each wash. No leaking for me so far! Has to be connected to your hot water tap to function at all. My old washer would work on cold water and heat to what it was asked. So now using my storage hot water in winter.
