I have a 2023 bt 50 4x4 , has any body had trouble with the release handle on rear tailgate , to open it you have to lift it up to the point that you think it is going to brake, it is very very hard to open it ,

Hi Gary, I've certainly experienced this on my 22 XTR. I find that I need to push the tailgate in while pulling handle up. It's not ideal. I have pulled the whole tailgate locking mechanism apart and fitted central locking, I cannot see where it's binding up.

I drive a 2025 Bt50 XTR, and randomly it keeps beeping. It’s not the speed limit reminder as I’ve turned that off. It can vary from 2 mins apart to 20 mins apart. It’s very annoying, it happens both when Apple CarPlay is connected and when disconnected. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix/turn it off?

Has anybody experienced occasional starting difficulty where the motor turns over and shakes violently, but won't start? It starts after several attempts. BT50 2021.

I have a October 2020 build Mazda bt50 xtr 4x4 and have looked over the vehicle for any warranty issues and found on the passenger side of the chassis some writing from factory near the weld and the weld looks like it has a hair line fracture. It has two welds side by side and is completely different to every other weld on the chassis. Some of the wording is Q13L then some is missing then goes 04 then about 500 ml further says 9 I did some research and the Q stands for Quality and the L stands for layer or layers. So I have presumed that the quality control person has found a problem with the weld from the robot and ours was chassis number 9 with the same problem but was forgotten about and not fixed on the assembly line. There is a lot of other problems and had many parts replaced under warranty many times but now they won’t even book it in for a service and do any warranty work as it is still under warranty and Mazda Australia keeps telling me to see the dealer who won’t help and the next dealer is a long way away. Has any one had a chassis issue in the middle passenger side just under the front door. So a weld that looks like it has two welds side by side and ours has a crack in the middle.

I depends on the model and year. Mine is a cab chassis 2022 model, mid-range. I would suggest that you look up the owner's manual for the vehicle that you have. It should be explained and shown there. Knowing the variety of models and years out there, where they constantly change the inside (except for Landcruiser which looks like it hasn't changed since the 1980s) and what the switches do. Really can't help much more than to point to the particular owner's manual for your vehicle.

I recently bought a 2024 Mazda BT50 4x4 dual cab diesel Ute. The fuel consumption on the freeway is 12.5 to 13L/100 km and around town about 10. Mazda say this is normal consumption but in their specifications they state8-10L/100 km. Is this normal or is there a problem with fuel injection or engine?

Hi. I have a bt 2021 in manual transmission. For reasons best known to mazda themselves they have put a sounder in place every time reverse is engaged which makes it sound like a B double! Has anyone found the sounder or know where it is? Mazda do not and will not change it, silence it, remove it. I just want to massage it with my hammer. Thanks in advance.

Dear Team,

We are currently facing an issue with our Mazda BT50 2022 model vehicles, specifically when driving uphill. Upon accelerating, the vehicle initially moves fine in 1st gear, but when shifting to 2nd gear, the engine begins to lug, and the vehicle is unable to take full acceleration. This forces us to downshift back to 1st gear to maintain speed, especially on inclines.

We have already checked the fuel filters, air filters, and fuel lines, all of which were found to be in good condition. Additionally, there are no check engine lights or other warning indicators on the dashboard. Notably, this issue is consistent across four of our vehicles.

Could anyone please provide insights or suggestions on how to resolve this problem? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards

Why is the fuel consumption so bad on a BT-50 Freestyle cab with an aluminium body? I only get approximately 700 kms before i need to refuel, average speed is less than 100 kms/hr.

I have an ongoing problem with 2021 BT-50. The ABS Breaking System, Dynamic Stability Control and Check 4WD warning lights keep coming on. Has been 17 weeks total with Mazda to resolve but no resolution. Has anyone else had this problem and was it fixed?
