10 Months in a 2023 Mazda CX30 – Firstly the things I loved. Style, great looking car, interior is a nice level of subtle & dash wonderfully free of clutter. Instrument cluster looks nice & it has comfy seats, driving position & a great feeling steering wheel. Now the things I wasn't so keen on. The car is under powered, made worse by a drive by wire accelerator. Should have tons of go with 2.5l but it's just flat, if you drive it hard, it becomes noisy which is a shame. Fuel economy with careful combined driving gets 9.0 l / 100 km, combine that with 45l tank size & there are constant stops to fill up. Info system is highly frustrating, the high level screen is good for vision but the input relys on a jog button to select each letter in a street name for navigation. The rotating button looks good but if you don't spell the name correctly, back to square 1. Resorting to voice input was even worse, the system never once understood my instruction & I ended up resorting to.Android Auto. Mazda need to revisit the voice recognition, it was nowhere near as good as the car this one replaced which was an 8 year old Ford which got at least 90% of voice command correct. Overall the CX30 is a lovely car spoiled by a couple of things that just aren't thought through well enough. Frustrated enough to move on from the car, disappointed that I now miss out on the positives of it.

Turbo would be nice! – Love everything about the car. Disappointed it is not available with a Turbo in Australia, as I am used to having one in my last 5 cars. Loved my Mazda CX7 turbo, but was disappointed when they discontinued that model. Happier driving a smaller SUV now, and the latest tech is nice. Bit too sensitive in the safety warning department, but good to have it anyway. Hoping they bring the Turbo version to Australia by the time I need to trade it in.

One of the least reliable cars I have owned in 55 years! – I came to this car from a Mazda 6, but the exchange has been horrendous. In just two months of its life, the car has required two callouts for a flat battery, and this made me late for two appointments! At the 1,000 K service the dealer left the cap off the washer reservoir. FAiR DINKUM!!! This car is one of the least reliable machines I have ever been associated with in 55 years. Come on Mazda, own up and fix the problem (please). From my perspective this is an absolute disgrace,
