Best middle size car

I use this car mainly for work and school drop offs, perfect for our family. I drive this car everyday. I usually service the car every 10000km or within 6months. I have had this car for almost 3 years now and have not had any issues with it. I have driven this car on a holiday trip that is more than 500km one way and had no issues with it. Show details

7 years and still amazing

I got it brand new 7 years ago and I can't be happier. Yes, it might not have all the gadgets but it very reliable. And speaking of gadgets, that camera in left mirror saved me multiple times. And I test drove a few new cars ( different brands) recently and this feature wasn't available and I don't know if I can live without it.
And speaking of reliability, only thing I replaced was a battery last year.
Will buy it again. 100% Show details

Great and versatile vehicle

Reliable, well built, economical and low maintenance costs. The magic seats make for great versatility, comfort and heaps of leg and head room for the rear passengers. The only options I miss are Apple CarPlay and memory position for the electric drivers seat
The vehicle is mainly used for shopping and occasional trips. It is serviced as per the log book and has a 7 year warranty.
The car is now 4 years old and still has original tyre after 46000km. Show details

2021 model suddenly slows at highway doesn’t accelerate

Had this problem multiple time and while driving it’s just slows down giving all alerts on the dash, like check EP, VR , engine Sign, break hold , blinking parking break panicking the driver. Happen to me multiple time on freeway. However took exit and shown to a mechanic stopped giving those warnings. Drove again to the freeway after 10 minutes same alerts. Not once multiple times and it’s a fairly new car. Show details

OVERPRICED for what you get

Car is used daily for short trips, shops doctor etc.
Car is serviced per book.
Have found the car to be good but expensive compared to competitors prices. My main complaint would center on servicing by the Honda dealer and the lack of urgency is repairing their own recalls. The last recall required me to make numerous calls to Honda to get action on the recall which I found very disappointing. Show details

Great ride

I use my car a lot, at least 25,000km per year or more. The HRV is reliable, extremely comfortable & smooth. Great for long trips or zipping around the city. I absolutely love the magic seats in the back, you can fit soooo much. One thing that l didn’t realise l couldn’t live without is the left hand side mirror. You always know what’s creeping up on the inside. Show details

An absolute dream to drive

I love my leather interior and sunroof. Servuced regularly and quute good on fuel with regular city driving. Drives well, great space especially as the back seats fold upwards giving room to transport taller items. Only problem is the light warning for the control keeps saying battery needs to be replaced, but it doesn't. It's intermittent so I've learned to live with it. Aside from that I can't fault this beautiful car. Show details

Fantastic

This is a great first car. I find it extremely smooth to drive and has all of the safety features I could need. It also looks great and is fairly low maintenance. Tank lasts me 2 weeks working full time. Love it.  Show details

Very disappointing - Engine oil leak and brake calipers need replacing at 73,000km

My 2015 Honda HR-V has been regularly serviced, only done 73,000Km of country driving, and has developed an oil leak at back of the engine (breather plate) and the brake calipers need to be replaced at the cost of around $1500!I purchased this vehicle new and this is not what I expected from a Honda vehicle I paid good money for. Yes it's out of warranty but having expensive parts fail so prematurely is not acceptable quality for the price. And Honda are not willing to cover the cost of repair. I have owned several makes of vehicles over the last 40 years of driving and this is the first one to have let me down with so few K's on the clock. I can't recommend the Honda HRV I'm afraid.  Show details

I have a 2022 HR-V and got the side doors damaged, requiring both doors to be replaced it seems. How much do you think this would cost me?

Not sure. But worth trying a few wreckers yards. You never know your luck, may even find some that are the same colour.

I have very recently purchased a 2021 Honda SUV, HRV VTI and have found that within a couple of days of my purchase, I started to notice, that sometimes when turning a corner, the car would hesitate to respond to the press of the accellerator and then all of a sudden, it would surge forward. I've noticed since then, that this now also manifests on the straight as well. Has this got anything to do with the CVT transmission and is it safe to continue driving?

Had mine for 5 years. Have not experienced this fault. You need to take this up with Honda Service dealer.
