Beware of purchasing vanities from McCanns Plumbing as they do NOT stand by the products that they sell nor the warrantee. They sold us a vanity, stating it had a 10 yr warranty on moisture, however they gave us a damaged vanity with a chip in the drawer and moisture damage. Upon speaking to their GM, he tried to put blame on us stating that we should have contacted them before it was installed. Jim, as advised, we didn’t notice the damage until immediately after installation when I went to clean it. Thank goodness for Australian Consumer Laws. We will report McCann Plumbing today to Consumer Affairs Victoria and will take this all the way if they don’t refund us. We asked for a replacement, however the attitude of their GM Jim has left me now seeking a full refund of all products we purchased from them which is around $1200. In addition to this poor after service by McCann Plumbing, we are left experiencing rental loss which they will be liable for. McCanns Plumbing, I strongly suggest you refund us fully for the dodgy vanity and all other products that you sold us. Just a tip Jim, you should be protecting your customers (your bread and butter) not your dodgy suppliers who use inferior materials from China to make these inferior vanities. Stop selling inferior products; honour warantees. We want a refund NOW otherwise see you at VCAT.
I have written to yr GM again and should McCanns Plumbing not resolve this issue by cob today, as stated in correspondence, we will lodge our application with vcat against McCanns Plumbing for the matter to be heard.
I also noticed an online review by [Content Removed] of McCanns Plumbing who was [Content Removed] in the workplace. Had we known this, we never would have supported McCanns Plumbing. It is simply shocking to read what your [Content Removed] had put her through. This potentially explains why I was spoken to with disrespect
GREAT SERVICE AND ATTITUDE – My name is Sam and my story is simple. You have an objective to fulfill, you know what and where you have to go and what you have to do to get it done but let's face it, you may not always be an expert. Well here (at Mccanns) you don't need to be. You only need the idea of what you want to achieve and the right attitude in whom will help you. The reason why there are two address for Mccaans stated again this review is that it all started a couple of years ago when I visited Mccanns in Laverton. I required a particular type of bathroom tap and after looking in amongst the display of tapware that was there I didn't see it but went to the counter to describe and enquire. A person by the name of Costa (Con) took my enquiry on and insisted that he would be able to find it in an assortment of catalogues that he had. Sure enough he successfully located the exact model which was very pleasing since it allowed me be uniform with the rest of the tapware. I was impressed with the attitude Costa displayed in making sure that I have an exact match for what I was after. I had told Con that I was impressed with his customer service and promised him that he will be my go to man from that point on with anything to do with this field. And, anyone who knows me knows I never break a promise.
Just recently my wife and I had decided to renovate and decide to go hunting for things that would ultimately be achieving the new look that we both wanted. We went past the store in Laverton where Costa works and I was told that he was currently working at the Yarraville store for a little while. I explained my promise to Con and the staff at Laverton were fine. We went to Laverton and introduced ourselves and Costa was on him lunch break at the time. So what did he do? put his lunch down and came to assist us. I insisted he finish his lunch and that we'll wait for him but that's the person that Costa is; Customer is always first.
My wife and I had described what we wanted to achieve and what sort of style we were looking for. Costa immediately hopped into to it providing us catalogues and showing us items that were in their Yarraville display. So, to cut this story short from here, Costa had also rendered the assistance of a very expertly and deeply knowledgeable Leanne and together with a few visitations and extremely tenacious investigative research Costa and Leanne had managed to put a package together for us that we were very happy with. We have now had all the items delivered and are in the middle of our renovation. Soon we will post our renovation when completed.
This is what Customer Service representation should look and feel like. You can feel the passion oozing when you're being helped. And believe me, it is genuine because, you can be sold anything from anyone however, when you're being questioned about your decisions and being shown alternative that you may not have considered in terms of looks, price, etc. you know that the service you are receiving is second to none. You know that everything you are being advised is solely designed for what you want to achieve and not just to make a sale.
Costa, my wife and I applaud your excellent customer service and Leanne you are now pretty much up there with Costa also. Thank you to both and Mccanns....do yourselves a favor....hang on to these two as long as you can. Costa, as I said to you last time, I will always be a Mccanns customer because of this. Thanks heaps.
