Today received message to return both pillows with caps ?? I screen shot our conversation yesterday again that i can only return parts received. I did ask if they could supply a cap for missing pillow and told have no stock. Initially i would have accepted replacements but due to constant emails from them and attitude i asked for full refund. Doubt i will get it without involving trading standards.

Could Have Been Better (It Should Last Longer) – I have sleep in a water bed for 38 years, and in that time I have used all sorts of pillows to get the right support and comfort. When I saw that there was a water pillow, i was intrigued and so I bought two of Mediflow pillows with the hollow fill (polyester) wrapping around the central water bladder. After some experimentation, I found the… Read more

right quantity of water to fill the pillow to get the right angle for a straight spine for maximum support. I did have some "sloshing" problems as the bladder was not completely full (on purpose), but a burp of the bladder to remove the excess air, plus a teaspoon a water bed conditioner every 6 months, solved the noise problem and potential algal growth problem.

The only BIG problem with the pillow is the fact the hollow fill fibre compresses over time (like two years) and now the padding around the bladder has started to go flat. I thought perhaps that I should have bought the memory foam version as memory foam tends to hold it shape longer that polyester padding. I do not like the heat trapping characteristic of memory foam (mattresses or pillow) however.

What I would really like is a water pillow with DUNLOP latex rubber foam as the padding material (are you listening Mediflow?). That way the pillow would provide support for many years and not be a heat problem like the memory foam.

Unfortunately, that would mean that the pillow could last up to 10 years of careful use (pillow protector) and I do not see one on the market. Did it work? YES! Did it last? NO! - I do not expect a $140 pillow to only last two years. I could buy a hollow fill pillow for $15 every 6 months and still be in front cost wise.

The thing that really attracted me to the pillow was NOT the water, but the adjustability for your particular body shape & size.

My next pillow will be a 100% Dunlop latex rubber pillow.

BUYER BEWARE - MediFlow as a poor return policy – BUYER BEWARE - MediFlow as a poor return policy. This pillow seems to be hit or miss on if it will work for you. But if it doesn't, don't expect that MediFlow will let you return it. We gave two of these for Christmas gifts, but by the time they were opened and tried MediFlow's return window expired and there was no flexibility. They appear to… Read more

include shipping time in their "return window" as well as not offering any flexibility around Christmas season (as most stores do) for the fact that it will sit under a tree for a week or so prior to being opened.

This ranks right up there with the worse customer service I have seen from a company.

(I wish I had bought through Amazon who would have likely stood behind it, but I bought directly from MediFlow and am now stuck with two completely useless water balloons).

Really soft cloudy feeling pillow! – This pillow is amazing, it is so comfortable. I have adjusted the water levels a few times and finally found my perfect level. When you put your head on this pillow it's like sleeping on a soft, fluffy cloud. Your head sinks into the pillow and kind of moulds around your neck. I actually hated it at first and went back to using my old pillow, then… Read more

I gave it another try and have been using it every night! My neck pain is much better, I am amazed. This pillow feels most comfortable when sleeping on your side or stomach, I am a back sleeper most of the time and that's why I gave it 4 stars because it's not as comfortable when sleeping on your back.

Also it is quite cumbersome and if you want to sit up in bed and watch TV or read or whatever, you can't do that with this pillow as it doesn't prop up. No big deal though, for the comfort and benefit it provides I can live without these things.

Don't ever waste your money on this pillow, even if recommended by a doctor – Don't waste your money on this pillow! Company doesn't stand behind product! We have tried adjusting water levels, getting air out, etc. The pillow inside crackles under your head like bubble wrap! Did not help and back pain and just gives you more headaches!! Absolute garbage product!

Great pillow for a varied range of sleep styles and body sizes – I bought one because I have quite broad shoulders and am primarily a side sleeper. It's always been difficult for me to find a suitable pillow that allows me to sleep on my side without my neck bending down to the pillow. This pillow allows me to fill it with enough water that my neck is aligned with the rest of my spine and I wake up without… Read more

pain in my neck and shoulders.

I do also sleep on my back and have found it to be quite adaptable and comfortable.

Pros:

- Easily adjustable in both height and firmness to suit your body size or comfort level.

- It's machine washable, just empty the water out first and reseal the bladder.

- Uses normal pillow cases.

- Looks like a normal pillow.

- It comes with a screw-in funnel to make it easy to fill the water bladder. I find the funnel is also useful for emptying out excess water if you fill it too much, or when you need to change the water.

- You fill it once per year, adjust it to your needs (by filling or removing water) and then forget it. You don't refill this on a regular basis like a hot water bottle. I'd imagine adding hot water to it could be dangerous. I don't believe the bladder is designed to withstand heat.

Cons:

- The biggest downside (for me) is the weight. My pillow is 7.5kg when filled with water. Not everyone will fill there pillow this much though. So most people's pillows might only be 1.5-2.5kg,

- So it's awkward to put your pillow case on. My girlfriend can't do it, because of the weight and the pillow flops around.

- After 2+ years it started to leak recently. This was very minor and I don't believe the bladder would ever burst unless you jumped on it.

Notes:

- Spend some time filling and trying it out before going to bed for the night. You will definitely need to adjust the water level a few times to get it right for your size and firmness.

- It only makes noise if you leave air in the water bladder. Then the water kind of sloshes around when you move or turn over. But it's easy to get the air out and they even provide you with instructions on that.

- It's not cold in winter (I live in Canberra where it gets down to -5C in winter). The water stays at room temperature and your head is never in direct contact with the water bladder. It doesn't matter what temperature water you fill it with because it will stay at room temperature after the water temp stabilises to the air temperature.

- Measure the amount of water you use and right it on the tag, that way when you refill it a year later you can get the right amount of water again. You can do this by measuring in small increments, but personally I find it easier to fill it to the right level that I'm happy with, then tip out all the water into a measuring jug / bucket etc. Or tip it into a bucket and weight the bucket, subtract the weight of the bucket and you have the amount of water in Litres (1kg = approx 1L)

I'd give it 5 stars, but it has started to leak after about 2+ years. I'm hoping to get it replaced under warranty, so if that happens I'll give it 5 stars for sure.

You spend about 50 hours per week on your pillow; make it worthwhile.

I definitely sleep much better – Sleep better, no more sore neck, easy to fill with water. Recommended by my chiropractor. Buy online much cheaper. Want to get more for my three children because I think they would benefit greatly from using the pillow, they will definitely sleep better. I fill the pillow the heaviest as I prefer it to be a bit firmer. It's heavy because of the water.

Who would have thought? – I was skeptical about this pillow, I had worries it might pop or not work as the price is higher than a regular pillow. I bought this as I had neck pains and after using this it went away! I've owned my mediflow pillow for a year now and very happy, I even take it with me when camping Comfortable, adjustable Expensive, heavier than a normal pillow
