Medion EE4002 – Had problems from the start returned it under warranty was informed I must sign a contract with Medion for service I refused as it was under warranty. ALDI refunded my money and got onto Medion for breaking consumer laws of NSW by demanding I sign a contract Medion then sent new phone to me no charge. Dropped it and broke screen after many… Read more

attempts Medion insists that I supply purchase date and receipt but I informed them I was supplied one free by them! Still refused to fix phone even when I said I would pay for a new screen but was told they dont do that as it has been discontinued!!!!! Will never ever become involved with this company Medion again poor service and back up Rude staff who seem to think their job is to abuse customers never had anything like it before Have informed ALDI managers who intend to take it up with purchasing staff and informed me they had HEAPS of complaints about MEDION and their customer service.

european tech companies are horrible. and medion is no exception – Medion. let me give you some faults in your product here: 1. don't use a screen that has a bad resolution. 2. when the touch screen breaks there shouldn't be a misreading that causes the phone itself to dial 000 then press the call button. 3. don't use a bad antenna. 4. make sure the user can move their apps to the sd card they have… Read more

acquired. if not make the storage size bigger!

5. seriously bad wifi connections.

embarrassingly horrible-looking warnings that tell you that you're using too much power (these warnings come from the display itself)

etc

Poor product – Purchased the phone 12/09/2013, now the screen just goes white periodically and has been a painful phone with its poorly written booklet to understand all of its workings. Could never get a cover for it. Battery does not last long. Never again

stops dead after short life – either battery life is short.. and i need to pursue replacement. Or, its just a plain dud model. Till now i had thought ALDI had good product selection backed by credible suppliers and support providers.

Even the Manual does not show how do I edit or delete a Contact? – I have given up trying to work out how to edit or delete a Contact in this phone. In process of looking for another more User Friendly phone. Would not recommend this phone to anyone.

Its a cheap phone but has limited storage for apps – Bought the Medion E4002 from Aldi over a year ago but put it into serious use only three months ago. It is a handy size (100mm Screen diag) phone , nice screen, reasonable camera and is an OK budget phone, .... but, In my view it has one major problem: Even though it came with 4GB of internal memory as well as a slot for a micro SD card… Read more

(external storage), only 524MB is available for installing apps and this is a serious limitation for anyone that wants to add a lot (or even a couple) of apps. It constantly complains about low storage. Contacted Medion for firmware update to fix this, but nothing available.

Need to have WiFi, GPS, Data, off or else the battery drains in less than a day.

Pros: Handy size (compact smart phone), Reasonable camera, Dual Sim Slots, Reasonable call quality, Removable Li-Ion battery, removable rear cover.

Cons: Memory for apps is inadequate, Keyboard has no enter/NewLine key.

DO NOT BUY – What a terrible product, this needs to be taken off the shelf immediately. The phone lasted a few months. First problem; It was displaying low storage space so brought a micro sd card. Nope still showed no storage space. 2nd; the battery would only last a day at the most. 3rd, now doesnt even recharge or turn on! Faulty product with terrible… Read more

customer service.

Lesson learned buy a product that you know will work stick with samsung or nokia. NOTHING bad service, faults with storage, doesnt even work now!

What a Cracker !!! – So many good features on this phone its hard to comment on them all. I have had MY Aldi phone for over a year now, still have great battery life (but you must manage wifi, bluetooth and data access to achieve best results. Obviously a screen protector is a must as is a hard shell to surround the body for protection (I found that with slight… Read more

modifications the Telstra Esifone Easiphone? 4g case is good at doing the job)

There are some issues with managing data and usable data space though, I just haven't bothered going into it and sorting it out.

Missed calls and inconvenience are not an issue... I haven't experienced any.

Phone is robust, I have dropped on concrete... fortunately it bounced on a corner and phew, it is in perfect condition still.

Apps load easily, eg the sound metre and earthquake apps are being accessed regularly with good results.

I can see how some people can have buyer and user resistance to products but this is surely not one of them.

The price is very good under $250 and its design is every bit as good as my ex iPhone 4, just not so annoying with extra costs and useless sending of images and info to a storage facility I've never seen.

Size of screen is just right and I find its a real gem. smart design and multiple features data and memory control

Disappointing in so many ways – I can't tell you how frustrating this phone has been for me. I have persevered for over 6 months, with missing calls, lost messages and scratches all over the face. Now that my battery is not even lasting 6 hours I am chucking it out. I would not take the risk of ever buying another Aldi phone. Grrrrr :( Cheap, screen size and features, feel and… Read more

weight. Not very intuitive interface. Extremely short battery life. Several messages "missing in action". Loudest ring tone way too quiet. Cant get a cover to fit.

Good product but – The battery appears to have a very short life. It needs recharging every 2 days without use. It can need recharging the same day after a 10min call. With normal use it could need charging everyday. After a short period of heavy use, calls could be missed and not realised until recharged due to the battery discharging so quickly. Excellent price. Battery life very short and instruction manual could be baffling for a first time user
