It has been the best car I've ever owned! – They seem to be a very underrated car. I've so far covered 80000 km completely trouble free and had the car for 3 years next month. my model is a 2017 dual clutch automatic the handling is amazing the reliability has been fantastic there's loads of room in the boot and back seat. I'm 6 ft 4 and the Headroom is amazing. The only criticism that I… Read more
have is that it takes a while to get used to the dual clutch gearbox and it could do with a bit more power on take-off. To be honest my expectations weren't very high of the car to begin with and I've been completely blown away by how good it has been to own.
Update, Ive now had the car for 7 years 93312kms travelled still going strong. I have just done a trip from Toowoomba to Adelaide inland in it and it hasn't missed a beat! I'm keeping it for another 2 years and then giving it to my son as his first car.
Highly underrated – I bought one brand new about 9 months ago. I'm getting better fuel economy (combined city/highway) than advertised. These cars handle and drive better than anything I test drove before buying in it's price range and it's been 100% reliable so far. Looks stunning in the Birmingham Orange colour I ordered and get many positive comments on the car. … Read more
The dual clutch transmission does take some getting used to but these are actually better than a traditional auto or manual when you learn how to use them. The MG6 is very comfortable with excellent seats and space. This is a daily suburban driver and weekend long drives are no problem. Professional motorist reviews on these cars are mixed and usually rate them unfairly as average but my experience so far has been extremely positive.
MG6 Magnette Lux – Have had this car for the past 6 months and am pleased to say that this car exceeded my expectations. Obviously being made in china I had my doubts but decided to import this from the eastern states as there was none in Western Australia. The 1.8 liter turbo motor has more than enough power for my everyday commute mated to a 5 speed… Read more
transmission.
The car has all the mod cons from leather seats which are comfortable, sunroof, power seats windows and mirrors to hill start control.
The only downside is that MG did not sort out the satellite navigation SD card which does not work.
The stereo is ok but could be better with the sound output and the reverse camera points way too down and not giving a clear view what's behind, but luckily there is reverse beepers.
Suspension and steering is the where the car shines, hugging corners and being very responsive.
Sub menus in the dash cluster is easy to access for all options available on the car.
Rain and light sensors are a bonus.
All in all a great package for the price I paid and wish MG all the best with the updated model released.
Also it would be great if they opened a franchise in western Australia.
