This agency is problematic from the leadership. My wife went there to pickup key. Arrived on time and waited for half hour, because the agent was locked in the boss’s sermon of “selling more properties so you can get rich as I did”. So I guess the agent was too busy selling properties all the time, averagely took longer than a week just to respond “we received your maintenance request email”. Some fix got dragged longer than a year ( when we moved out it’s still not fixed yet). I used to think that “company culture” is a nonsense concept. Thanks them for this vivid example. Now I know I’m wrong.
Money making agency – This agency looks after themselves but not the people they serve. They come up with charges that is not there before to bolster their profit. For example, annual inspection fees, smoke alarm service fee etc which are not found in many other honest agencies. This is also reflected in the managers they have where making money for them seems to be the focus, treating with contempt the the people providing them the business (and yes, they probably don't think so).

Terrible experience at MGM Martin, from move-in to move-out – (If I could, I'd give zero stars) Terrible experience with [Name Removed] at MGM Martin, from move-in to move-out (If I could, I'd give zero stars) Upon moving into our new apartment managed by [Name Removed], we encountered numerous issues. The apartment was a total disaster - unclean balcony, visible mould on door frames, walls with many dents, multiple stains, and hooks glued all over. Carpet and bathrooms full of hair, dirt, grease, broken plate in microwave, grease on mirrors and kitchen, massive stains on carpet and much more.
The apartment's condition was way below acceptable standards and we were left with a cleaning and repair project that took several days during our move. (Upon seeing it all - we immediately sent feedback email with a request for cleaners - but they showed up three days later, only to brush off some dust, since we had already done most of the cleaning)
Fast-forward three years, after turning that dump into a pristine living space (we also removed all broken hooks, fixed all dents, plastered and painted all walls in the entire apartment), we were ready to leave and we hired commercial end of lease cleaners with carpet cleaning.
But guess what? [Name Removed], the 'professional' agent, decides to snatch extra money from our bond for ridiculous reasons - due to a problem with the carpet cleaning receipt, including a missing ABN, and some lint in the dryer. Seriously?
We had to go through the trouble of requesting and attending NCAT tribunal, spending time and money, to reclaim what was rightfully ours.
The agent was very arrogant when communicating and he didn't even bother showing up for the tribunal hearing - just sent a "NOPE" when asked.
We experienced total lack of professionalism and sheer disrespect. It was a nightmare of an apartment; we returned it nice, clean, and repaired, yet the agent still played games. We won the case, but the hassle and stress that was caused us were totally uncalled for.
Despite the eventual good outcome, the level of professionalism and respect we encountered was absolutely disappointing.
NCAT tribunal outcome was in our favour and we got everything back (apart from the $60 to request NCAT tribunal) - but - the agent does not get penalised for this kind of behaviour and for trying to fetch unjust money at all and the agent unfortunately can keep doing that on and on with other tenants.
This experience has been a horror story of negligence and arrogance.
Future tenants should be aware of our experience, underscoring the importance of thorough documentation when renting.
