check and clean the filter. If you have an instruction book/ manual read how to remove inlet/outlet pipe and clean. This is fiddly. If you don't have an instruction book download one on the internet. Regularly run a dishwasher cleaner through the machine. These three things have worked for me

Hi Gloria, please try the following. The stopcock is closed - Open the stopcock fully. The water inlet filter is blocked. Before rectifying the problem you must: – Turn the programme selector to the "Stop" position. – Switch the dishwasher off using the "On/Off" button. then: – Clean the water inlet filter. The Waterproof system has reacted. If this doesn't resolve the issue we would like to resolve this with you, can you please contact us on 1300 464 353 or if you believe your machine needs to be looked at by a Miele technician please book a service call using external link  . Thank you for the quick reply. I night have worked it out. There was some water in the bottom tray, which would have set off the float switch. I dried it out and was able to run a short wash. So far no leakage. It might have been the solenoid in the inlet hose. When I replaced it, there was a little water leakage, which I didn't clear enough. So the new inlet hose wouldn't let water in, because of the float switch. Just a theory...Will continue to observe.

Honestly I don't know, but if it works, great when it needs work just buy a new one !

It will be cheaper than a Miele service technician.
