The dishwasher itself is fine. The baskets used within the dishwasher itself rusted very quickly and pegs started snapping off. Very disappointed with the quality. Not what I expected from Miele. The upper basket started disintegrating a few years ago already. I just didn't have the time to deal with it then. I am late in submitting this review. Show details

Disappointing and unhelpful – Got an F24 fault. Technician advised German cockroaches damaged either top or bottom heating pump, but ccouldn't advise which pump was damaged. Having spent over $200 for that news, he suggested we replace bottom element for a further $200 odd, and them if that didnt resolve the issue, spend another approx $800 on replacing top element. Ridiculous und unhelpful solution. Going shopping?

Good machine but fault after 3 years – Good machine, quiet, efficient but fault Inlet/Drain after 3 years - needing repair. Our prior Miele lasted 12 years! Did all the regular maintenance and cleaning routine as in the manual. We are very very dissapointed given fairly light use ever 2nd day - how can Miele do this to customers? Was over $2000 to purchase. Would think hard again with any Miele appliance. Show details

A good machine but broken in under 4 years. A backlog to get a service call out – The dishwasher is fast, quiet & a good design. But this is useless if it breaks. For a dishwasher of this price & brand quality we were expecting longevity but it malfunctioned with Error Code F78 - circulation pump. It has taken a long time to get a service technician to our house but I appreciate Miele committing to get it fixed ASAP. Show details ·  3

Best dishwasher I had in over 30 years – We bought this machine 1.5 years ago following a disastrous experience with a new Bosch dishwasher which hardly dried, and had to be returned to the retailer. This machine is a joy to use, performs well in every regard, and drying is outstanding. I always knew that Miele was the best of the best, but shied away from buying one because of the… Read more

price tag. Now I regret I did not buy one earlier. Friends of ours had owned a Miele dishwasher for nearly 20 years, when they needed their first spare part. It was still available! You will not find this with other manufacturers.

Always leaves food on dishes – Our 2 drawer fisher and packel died so I thought I would try the Miele. What a mistake. The only way we can get a reasonable wash is to remove the filter basket, which quickly broke off anyway. The machine is so difficult to clean and the sprayers are impossible to unclog. I end up hand washing most of the time. The only good thing is it is quiet. Show details

Very Happy with this machine – Very Happy with this machine. Our last Miele lasted for 17 years. This model is user friendly, does a great job but we do scrape our dishes. Rack is versatile, easy to load and love the wine glass holder. Highly recommend this Meile dishwasher. Show details ·  1

Overpriced because it underperforms, with poor design and poor washing results. Will choose another – This was the top of the range free standing dishwasher that Miele had available. I waited until it went on special, so it was $1500 plus I paid for the 5 year warranty $250, total investment $1750. Stacking this dishwasher is not easy, it takes me forever to try to fit in a standard amount of washing because the design is so inflexible and things… Read more

just don't fit in it. I rarely use plates, I use a lot of different sized bowls, pots, pans, jugs, glass and stainless steel water bottles, and round, square and rectangle glass containers and lids. Even standard cereal bowls don't stack properly into it, they don't sit up, they fall on each other. It's very hard to get things to fit without wasting a lot of room in the process. Stacking cutlery, of which I use mainly spoons, teaspoons, and large cooking spoons is also cumbersome, it all doesn't fit easily. There is no place for different shapes and sizes, other than standard dishes, and if I stack things in the corners like a glass cup or along the edges like a chopping board, they don't get washed properly either, so I can't fill the dishwasher up like I used to be able to with my previous Bosch or the brand I had before that which was a Fisher and Paykel. It's just unbelievable how inflexible and poorly designed the racks are for a "premium" price point. And "yes Miele", I know where all the adjustable parts are, there's just not enough adjust-ability.

The wash cycles take a long time which would be fine, but the clean is below standard for the cutlery rack and the bottom rack, and anything placed in corners. I always have to use the 70 degree intensive setting to get a decent clean, and I use Miele tabs or Finish, but get better results with Finish. When going from one cycle to the next, for the second wash, often the cycle won't start, so I have to jiggle and push the door until it starts. Trying to clean saucepans properly or use the gentle cycle for glasses or plastics, or the lightly soiled wash for delicates often won't clean everything properly.

Cleaning out the filter properly (which I do after every wash to try to get the best wash out of a bad dishwasher each time) is tedious because of how it's designed, and trying to put it back together and back into dishwasher, is incredibly fiddly and frustrating. You can't see what goes where, I've marked it with laundry marker, but it keeps washing off of course. The instructions, youtube etc didn't shed light on the method at the time I bought it.

Food often gets stuck in the spindle parts, and removing them and flushing them with water won't always flush the food out, and there is no way for me to pull the spindles apart to clean them out, they are closed so you can't open them, so I need to use tweezers and I've even tried using the vacuum cleaner to try to get food particles out but it usually just falls back into the spindle!

I contacted Miele within 30 days of use to complain about the poor wash results, and to ask for a refund. The lady was rude to me and said that she could send someone out to show me how to stack the dishwasher. I told her that I wasn't happy with it and wanted a refund and that this is my 3rd dishwasher and the first time I've had poor results, pretty sure I know how to stack a dishwasher! She said if I sent the machine back, I'd have to pay a 20% restocking fee. With such rude and unfair customer support, I resolved to keep it due to the cost of restocking, and to sell it off when I move house in future.

My previous dishwasher was a Bosch which lasted 7 years, but it washed well and was flexible with stacking, and I now wish I stuck with the brand. I thought Miele was a premiere brand, and I was going to deck out my whole house with this brand when I move, as I had thought I'd take this dishwasher with me and I bought their $750 vacuum cleaner and it seemed pretty good. But now I think it's just an overpriced and overrated brand name, with poor customer service and return policy. I'll be going back to Dyson for the next vacuum too! Miele, -never again!

Love having a dishwasher – Good dishwasher. Sometimes it doesn’t clean as well as I’d like but I think that could be from dodgy dishwasher tablets as it’s not consistent. Very quiet when in use which I love. Easy to clean. Doesn’t dry plastic dishes as well as I’d like but that’s only a minor issue.  Show details ·  1

Great Dishwasher, cant fault it – The G6620 SCU from Miele is a great dishwasher, every now and then we get the odd dish that has baked on stuff requiring re washing, but 99% the time, dishes are spotless, washer is realively quiet, so all in all we are happy with our purchase. Great job Miele.  Show details ·  1

Brilliant! – It cleans the dishes brilliantly! It is exceptionally quiet. We are using the QuickPowerWash which is a 56 minute cycle. Favourite feature is how we can put long stemmed wine glasses in the bottom draw and the can be safely washed. I also like the cutlery pull out draw. This ensures all cutlery is washed and no food is missed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dishwasher as a great investment. We purchased in white.  Show details

Super clean and quiet – Quality build as you’d expect from Miele. I bought this one to replace my old 6 series Miele. The 6620 is quiet and has a neat door opening function at the end of the cycle - helps with drying. Plates and cuttlery come out clean and glasses spotless and shiny. The 50 minute express wash works well so I’ve not bothered with the longer cycles.  Show details

Very Disappointed – I purchased the dishwasher a couple of weeks back and I am very dissatisfied with the product. I rarely get a clean load as there are always crumbs and stains on the some of the dishes. The trays are so lose / smooth that the slightest push results in the dishes banging against each other and the glasses toppling over. I have used Bosch… Read more

Seriously considering returning the machine if Miele cannot resolve the problems.

Excellent! – This is the best dishwasher I've had! Very quiet, washes & dries very efficiently, & the door opens once finished to ensure everything stays dry. The automatic feature is excellent & I love the cutlery tray. A great size & fits a great amount of things per wash. Highly recommended!  Show details
