Miele K 12820 SD EDT/CS (Stainless Steel) Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: K12820SDCSSame old issue. Handle broke and the door seals expired. I thought I was buying a quality product. I will steer clear of Miele in future as the replacement costs of the handle and seals are almost as much as a quality unit from one of the other brands.
Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to reach out to Miele and providing feedback. We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment with your appliance and experience. We would like the opportunity to try and resolve this with you. Hi. I had the same issue with the handles, told Miele & they sent me 2 new ones that are evidently stronger at no charge. Our fridge freezer combo was 6 years old as well. I think they realise the handles are a problem &, in our case, were happy to send replacements for free. They only take about 2 minutes to fit as well. Greg Ford. Gold Coast.
We had the same problem with our handles as well. Flimsy plastic. Like you, we thought we were purchasing a quality appliance. We are on our second set of handles. And now the fridge seal is falling apart.
I was re-directed by the Miele representative due to me being in England. I have 'reached out' to the team in England and so far no reply. Sadly, I don't think they are taking their brand, products or customer service seriously.
Ok - now been contacted by Miele. Let's see if they fix this obviously faulty by design product.
Hi guys. Why is my fridge door not self-closing? I bought it only in Feb 2020.I keep finding our door left ajar by a couple of centimetres or less and back part of our fridge end up frosting. And there is nothing obstructing inside. And door is not filled with heavy items.
Has anyone dropped a shelf? Beware shatters like a crystal glass shards everywhere and NOT SAFETY GLASS found out the hard way 6 cuts on feet from flying shards.
I had one explode on me when I was washing it.very scary I had no cuts but was very challenging.
Can I stop my door from opening 180 degrees? Thanks!
Not sure of the technical issue on this, but I should think that if you adjusted your legs underneath just slightly higher on the hinge side, then the door wouldn't swing open so far. You will still need it to open the 180 degrees to take the drawers in and out if needed. Best to give Miele a ring to confirm if you have any issues.
