Mimosa 3m Market Umbrella Questions & Answers
How do I get spares to replace the crank handle workings. Morris
Hi Morris, I don’t know what made you think I’m an expert in Mimosa umbrellas …. I wrote a review a couple of years ago about a non-crank model I bought that worked well. You may have seen some comments …mainly about the crank model which mine wasn’t. If you’re having problems, I suggest you contact Mimosa directly.
Where or who has spare parts for this Mimosa umbrella , need to replace the crank mechanism.
Sorry, I'm a retired doctor - not an umbrella mechanic. My review was of the rope/pulley model .....not the crank model. I'd suggest contacting Mimosa or the retailer you bought it from.
Mimosa, woolamai square market umbrella 2M x 3M straight, white. Retail price anyone?
Don’t know the price of that model. My review showed the price I paid at Bunnings for the 3M round model last year. Why don’t you check price online from Bunnings & other retailers.
The price changes - sometimes they have them on sale (for obvious reasons) :)
Mimosa 3x3m cantilever umbrella not rotating 360 degrees?
Hi, I recently purchased a Mimosa 3.5m Andaman Anodized Cantilever Umbrella. Has been working great, but when we went to put it up the other day the handle used to slide the umbrella up and down has seized. You normally pull the handle release and it slides up and down. The handle release wont budge as its completely seized. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I have a 3m mimosa koko cantilever umbrella. Is there a seperate base I can purchase to use as the base to allow me tk move the umbrella. Something I can fill with water or sand? Instead of the cross over option at present
How do I repair a broken cord (the one to put the umbrella up, not the pull along)? Any ideas? Can I take the covers off the wind mechanism.
Hi I have exactly the same issue unfortunately. It’s disappointing to through it out

Hi The crank handle mechanism has failed with 2 years is there a way i can replace it, looks like metal fatigue the whole barrel has just broken into 3 parts ?
My Marquee 3m cantilever umbrella came with a black-capped bolt presumably to hold the top and bottom sections of the umbrella together. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a bolt-hole in both sections to screw it into. do I need to drill a hole in it and if so where would you suggest.
Are there extra weights for the Minmosa Square "Koko" 3mtr umbrella - is there an extra post one can purchase to place into cement to hold it in place?
Not that I am aware of. The base stand will rust prematurely and can’t be bought as a replacement. My latest one lasted two weeks before the restriction cable failed in light wind. This is the nylon cable that operates off the winding mechanism to raise and lower the umbrella.
I have purchased 2 of your 3M ANDAMAN CANTILEVER UMBRELLAS for my pool area .. it says not to use in high winds ... What do you consider to be high winds? eg: how many wind kms is it safe to use it in ?
Hi. Essentially you need to put the umbrella down with the tie after every use. Problem is that storms can strike unexpectedly. I have had several of these style of umbrellas fall victim to this. The latest was last week and it destroyed a three week old umbrella. Not the fault of the manufacturer. They have a large sail area and it only takes relatively low wind to wreck it. Cheers chris
It says dont use in high winds .. What do you consider to be high winds?
what is the function of the key? What do I do to the pulley cords to get the umbrella to stay up?
Where are mimosa umbrellas made
How do I remove the bottom bit of the pole for storage
i have lost the part between the base and the wind up crank mechanism, is it possible to buy that section and where?
Hi sush, did you end up getting this part as I need one too!!
No Bunnings said they could not order parts. I got a galvanised pipe cut to size. It works fine.
