The unit had a complete failure of the compressor 8 weeks after installation on 9 July. Reported to Mitsubishi Electric that day for warranty action. They emailed on 10 July, just before closing for the weekend saying they couldn't reconcile serial numbers and refused service. Reengaged through installer (who have been great) to sort out serial… Read more

number confusion. Service Agent visited on 15 July confirming what installer had already identified - complete failure of the compressor. Still waiting as of 23 July for Mitsubishi Electric to deliver parts to effect repair. Continual calls by myself met with parts are ordered and would I like the details of the Service Agent, no concern that 15 days of subzero Canberra temperatures without heating may be a problem. I will never buy another Mitsubishi product, the after sales & warranty is unacceptably poor.

What a fantastic airconditioner this is! – I purchased my Mitsubishi Airconditioner back in May 2023 and thought I would wait until summer to write a review. Cooling is more important to me, although this is also a fantastic heater. From the outset I should also say this MSZ-AP80vGD-A1/MUZ80VG-A1 outperforms the larger Daiken I originally had, and this one replaces. I also purchased the… Read more

WI-FI control which is an absolute brilliant device. I can turn the aircon on just before leaving work and arrive home to a 24-degree cool space. Today it will be nudging 40 degrees and I already have the aircon on, and loving the 24 degrees, which prompted me to write this review as we hibernate today. I have read comments about the Cash Back or Gift card. I never had any problem with this. I supplied the relevant info and got the card within 4 weeks. I think this aircon is just fantastic, quick to cool, and super quiet, we have the outside unit on the roof and you just can’t hear it going. I would certainly buy another without hesitation. I also have no hesitation in giving it 5 stars. A shout too McCaigs Airconditioning in Bendigo. Excellent work.

my two new Mitsubishi split systems work great. But I paid extra for the ability to control my AC via my mobile phone. Sadly no one, even the Mitsubishi installer knows how to set it up as its overly complicated. The user manual gives little, or no information on wi fi. The unique QR code for wi fi installation provided with each unit has "no… Read more

usable data" The on line official Mitsubishi you tube clips on how to do it are out of date and only refer to a wired removable wi fi module. The new units have a built in inaccessible wi fi module. The Mitsubishi control app is also only for the earlier removable wi fi modules which are set up totally differently as it has controls on it. I'm hoping someone can help.

Excellent service – There was a mix up of models for my air con and the wrong one was sent. But the service was outstanding and the correct one was sent. I would recommend this company for the excellent customer service.

Support has been prompt and helpful – We recently got installed a ducted split air conditioning. The AC wasn’t working as expected. I contacted the support to ask a question, and they immediately booked a service. It turned out that the settings of AirAdvantage were incorrect, and with the proper ones, the AC is functioning as it should be. I appreciate that the support was prompt and helpful, and propose a service without me to have to ask. Thank you :)

After 4 years out air con packed in. Mitsubishi local dealer Air Conditioning Whitsundays illegally claim the 5 year warranty applies only to the unit and not their faulty installation which allowed water ingress. My review is the same as Julie Qld, except my AC failed after just 6 weeks of usage. The AC was installed in September by a local electrical contractor. The AC stopped working on the 10th of November. The same contractor identified the fault and notified Mishubishu that he could not repair the fault due to warranty requirements. I had a new Mitsubishi Air Con installed last October 2024 It stopped working on the 20th June this year It took until the 17th July for someone to come have a look and apparently the outboard or something like that needs replaced Today is Sunday the 10th of August and still not fixed I would never recommend this brand, being new nothing should be going wrong in the first place

I have purchased a Mitsubishi Electric Split System for an apartment. I did this due to their cash back promo. They make it so difficult and ask for so much paperwork , serials numbers , rates notices etc that it takes hours to put together and then they find a way to try and say the claim is invalid. I have another 3 units to buy but will be going to the opposition. What a scam !

We purchased 3 Mitsubishi aircon units for our bedrooms. From the start one of them was faulty making a piercing sound. I got in touch with them 2 months after purchase. Have a 15k/w ducted unit (Slim Boy). Never ever had an issue with this unit and we use it extensively. A recent power outage threw an E6 error code, which turned out to be water leaking onto the indoor units power board when there was a cyclone. Not a huge problem you'd think, we just replace the power board, which would by roughly $400 and all… Read more

good? NOT IN MY DREAMS!! I got told by Mitsubishi that any parts for this unit are no longer available?? Anyone that knows about ducted systems, knows the indoor ceiling unit HAS to be compatible with the out door unit, or they don't work. So in a nutshell, the whole system, for want of a $400 part, is now totally useless. The spare parts guy I spoke to at Mitsubishi was amazed at my outrage of having to put a whole new system in at $14000, other than buy a $400 part they don't, or wont keep spares for. In the tone of his voice, it was almost like, what's your problem, go buy a new one. WOW!! So, that poses the next question? Why would I now replace this system with another Mitsubishi unit??? Well, that's an easy answer, I WONT. I will be doing my homework very carefully on after service and the on going supply of parts for these very expensive, labour intensive units. Fujitsu, Gree, Daiken maybe?? But, I can tell you for a fact, NOT Mitsubishi. No point having the best performing unit there is, if you have to scrap the whole system, because you can't fix minor issues.....Mitsubishi didn't give a stuff, they were more amazed in me complaining about something trivial in their opinion. You've been WARNED

Utter disgrace of a company. Would never purchase a product from them again – I had 3 x air conditioning units with a multi head installed in my property. They are utterly useless. I have lodged a complaint over 2 weeks ago and… Read more

still heard NOTHING from them. I rang today and spoke to some useless man called 'Milton' who told me someone will be in touch but he can't say when or who. He also says there is 'no manager' available to speak to. They truely do not give a sh*t about their customers. People will try to tell you this is a reputable brand and the warranty process is good but it is utterly disgraceful and I have reported them to consumer affairs.

Cash Back Rort – The cash back promotion is a joke. Mitsubishi clearly rely on the average person giving up in despair and thus saving money in unused cashbacks. Their marketing department may not have factored in the loss of future business. The process is onerous, infuriating and designed for failure.

Mitsubishi post purchase shenanigans – Same as the other reviews. The cash back claim is continually reject for arbitrary reasons, like a letter in the name not matching invoice etc. The actual product is very good. As was installation. Beware "cash back" redemption promotion – As other reviewers have noted, the cash back promotion through Harvey Norman (not a good reflection on that company, either) is basically an inducement scam. utility bills, a DNA sample (ok, not quite) just to claim the cashback. One of those processes where you think you have finally completed it but - ah ha! no! - they come back with some small problem for you to fix (hoping you will give up). I am a tech and admin-savvy 40-something so you can imagine what this would be like for a senior citizen. After submitting the mountain of unnecessary paperwork and waiting a month the gift cards still have not arrived in the post, although Mitsubishi claim they have been sent... WOW, what a coincidence they went missing in the post! Avoid being sucked in by this promotion at all costs.

CASH BACK OFFER A RORT – Cash back offer a RORT. Took an hour to fill in the forms to apply for a cash back gift card. They need all kinds of information including your utility bills which is a breach of privacy. If you are considering purchasing and the cash back sways your decision, THINK AGAIN and go with another provider.

Unfortunately I can only conclude that the cashback is a scam that doesn't' allow you to prove the purchase, since even if you have an invoice that's paid, you won't be able to prove that you paid.

A true SCAM BY MITSUBISHI – How odd, to receive a $400 cash back for 3x split systems, I provided pics of equipment and invoices from retailers. All info has been submitted and knocked back twice now! Not good enough because the serial nos were not printed on invoices, only model nos. Cash Back Bureaucracy – Mitsubishi Electric seem to want to delay the cash back voucher for the purchase of new air conditioners. The Mitsubishi employee that I spoke to had my invoice on record and agreed that all the details I supplied were correct except for her insistence that I should have submitted the supplier/installer name as the trademark name. This was not possible as they allow the word "Other" as a supplier if the key words you submit do not fit their pre population software. I have now resubmitted a new claim as instructed with exactly the same restrictions that I previously encountered. Lets hope that I do not run out of time as I have until the 31st of August 2023 to claim my voucher!
