Very poor After sales service – New triton went in for first 2000k service there was a miscommunication re wireless in dash phone charger on purchase that was meant to be rectified. dropped off the car the sales man (dev wanneroo Mitsubishi) had not done anything about rectifying the issue just said outright he forgot and could do the charger for std new sale price this is after… Read more
leading us to believe it was a std feature very disappointing no service car was available after being told it would be and then speaking to the parts man (dave wanneroo Mitsubishi) about the price of the phone charger he told us that we weren't intending to get the car serviced through them in the future so why would it be in his interest to give a good deal on the wireless phone charger? All round very poor service for the sake of a brand new 50k car to be fed with that sort of ____ very disappointing
MR triton why so bad? – Headlights - are these legal. Not sure if legal. Can't decide if low beam is better than high beam soft yellow light. Feels like driving an XC falcon with a flat battery. really. Ok in town very good. On a typical country bitumen road this thing is attrocious.
Engine and Auto - Excellent, no turbo lag. Enjoyable! Looks - amazing interior and exterior.
Great reliable vehicle. Well priced – Had an MN previously and travelled 165000 in 3 years (work ute). Upgraded to the mq 4 months ago this vehicle has now done 20000 ks. No problems with it or the previous model. Dual cab 4wd. Tows anything with ease. Would highly recommend the Triton , worth a look at if your after a 4wd dual cab. Show details
Fantastic Ute – I have been very impressed with how my Mitsubishi Triton drives. It has fantastic power and tows well. Plenty of legroom in the back and the touch screen is easy to use. I have had no issues with my Triton to date and would highly recommend this ute to anyone. Show details
Throttle lag – I got a glxr auto and it has a 3 second approx delay , (like it's connected with a weak rubber band) on pull away , which can lead to some heart stopping moments when joining traffic. I have complained to mitsi NZ and just got fobbed off, a freind has the same with his, if I could turn the clock back I would have bought some other ute Show details
Average – Having owned 3 navaras a ranger and a great wall i have to say the trition is average at best. Fuel economy is really good, interior is nice and comfy but the performance is terrible - it handles like a water bed and dont go near potholes or speed bumps. The radio quality is crap and the fog lights being on permanently is annoying. Really bad… Read more
shudder with gear change at low speed and overtaking isnt really an option. I paid $46k NZD for this ute 2018 glxr and i paid $48k for the st navara. I'd buy the navara a thousand times over before i bothered with another triton, i think i'll give this to the apprentice and go buy a bt50 hahaha
If there's someone you don't like recommend the Triton ! – Unreliable, fuel economy disgusting, drivers side seating stitching comes undone every 6 months , central locking repaired twice now , in the rain my drivers side window constantly goes down , so I keep a rain coat on the back seat now for extra comfort of not getting soaked and Mitsubishi don't wanna know about it .. Great value for money – Generally a comfortable ride, handles like most other pick ups and is reasonably quiet inside. Dislikes are excessive feedback transferred back through steering wheel from rough road surface. Only other dislike is the lack of room between drivers seat and top of door opening. opening. Impossible with any sort of hat on. Not the most powerful vehicle on the road but more than enough to get the job done on or off the road. Economy is excellent and thus far reliability hasn’t been an issue.
Awesome – The mighty triton. Still the only ute ever to win over lander 4x4 of the year. Still the only vehicle to win it consecutively. Hilux owners as well as dirt scraping navaras are always going to be dismissive. Sucks to be them. Check out the the pro reviews instead of clowns that post negative things on this site.
