Avoid at all costs! – I have booked 3 removals with Morgans. The first one back in 2013 was perfect, the two young guys worked quick and were very professional. The second removal they were 4 hours late - stating that the first move of the day had severely under quoted their amount of stuff, which is understandable and something i could look passed. for a third time.
The third removal, i got a call 30 minutes prior to the booked time stating that they had a car accident. Which again is understandable, except for the fact that the caller/driver was clearly not at the side of the road and sounded more hung over than in shock (morning after a big sporting match too). The driver gave me a number of another removalist that he "found on gumtree" for me to book instead. Safe to say i book a different company. I attempted to call Morgan's an hour later and the phones are turned off - not even an answer on the office phone.
I won't be booking for a 4th time and i certainly will be telling people to avoid them!
Stay away! – The reasons for my concern is about two things. One is the damage to my furniture and appliances. damaged by accident - it was just lack of care.
The second is how long it took to pack and unpack the truck. I’m not talking about the two side trips to the storage centre, just the simple one from my two bedroom house to the new house about 200m away.
One of the men was talking constantly and telling me things "being on this or on that". He stopped in front of our oven pointing at dials and asking my wife ‘what does that do?’ And he kept on talking about tips.
The previous move was much slower than quoted - perhaps because one of the removalists wasn't really working. I was charged an extra $360.
So, I felt like I’ve paid for time that wasn’t actually moving our stuff. Even when finished, I was expected to pay cash. I didn't have enough cash on me to pay almost a thousand dollars and had expecting to pay by credit card. So, a late night trip to the ATM.
I wrote to management and told them my concerns. I was told that there would be an investigation and haven't heard back from them after a year. The reason for this review as I have just seen other damage and felt I should let others know.
On a positive note, they were on time and quite friendly. However, I suggest using another company.
