Morphy Richards Accents 4 Slice

I have just started using this toaster after having it for a few years. I moved and it was packed away and recently found it. This is the worst toaster I have ever owned. For over a $100 you would expect it to be pretty good. Doesn't pop up, burns the toast one side and barely toasts the other. Absolute waste of money - it might look good but it ends there. If I am toasting in number 1 and shortly after I put bread in number 2, they both pop up at the one time. Now I have well toasted bread in number 1 and half toasted bread in number 2. If I want to complete toasting of number 2, I have to transfer to number 1 side and go through the toasting process again which results in overdone toast in number 1 This is a very bad design Show details

Dont Buy it! – Dont buy it! It takes a long time to cook, and it drys out the toast, with only a bit of brown. Same with the kettle, its awful. The toast doesnt pop. Its worse with crumpets. Show details

Lasted 6 years! – Love this toaster so much am trying to find a replacement after just over 6 years of constant use. Takes regular size bread (13.5/14cm) horizontally. maybe too vigorous cleaning on my part!). However, this is probably one of the best toasters I’ve owned( previously Dualit- which I have to say grossly overpriced for what it can do). Will carry on my search to replace as this model is no longer produced!

additional features such as a defrost function, and a "warming" function, which can also come in handy if the toast is ready before you are. My toast has always been cooked evenly, without burning or charring of corners or edges. The fact that it has 4 slots (great feature), is unfortunately offset by the slow cook time. For a slice of lightly toasted bread (on setting 2), it takes over 2.5 minutes. If the purpose is to make toast for only 1 - 2 people, then this is a great toaster. But if your intention is to cook for a larger group, the timing becomes an undesirable factor as if you wait, the initial pieces become cold.

Been the best toaster I have owned – Never had any bread stick Thick or thin .I can cook Crumpets muffins BreadRolls and it always cooks evenly .Will buy another still going strong though.I recommend it to anyone .even though mine is discontinued. The elements barley light up even making toast in this thing seems like a chore a considering what they are worth I would of expected better, it's frustrating and annoying when You have and elderly disabled person waiting ever so patiently for breakfast

Lasted 16 months before shorting electricity – If I could give this toaster no stars I would. Only a 1 year manufacturers warranty......because that's all it lasts for. I bought in April 2021, by August it was setting off the safety switch every time I used it. Would definitely not recommend and would definitely not buy again!! Show details

Lasted 4 years before shorting out house – Got this free with FlyBuys points. Used this for 4 years, always very uneven toast depending on the day and what it felt like doing. Terrible to clean as crumb trays way too small. Thin breads, such as naan, get stuck and burn to a blackened crisp in no time. Show details

Partial bread browner – Looks good on the bench - but it simply doesnt toast. Browns part of a piece of bread after 4 minutes. Shoots bread into air after exhausting itself thinking about toasting. Rubbish. Show details

Slower than a wet week – Stainless steel Toaster looks great but don't expect toast in a hurry. We have had the toaster for just over one year now and it was always slow but it has got slower and slower to the point now that to toast 2 pieces of bread i put the dial on maximum time and have to press it down for extra time again. The cheaper breville 4 slice i have had like 5 yers and will return to just works. it also has lift and look function while toasting, the reheat/toast some more button works perfect. no jams. should have known better to stick with a brand i have had work perfect for years in most of my appliances of the same brand.

The kettle seems to work fine but as the jug is singe skin it gets HOT to touch. time will tell if it fails based on the poor quality of the toaster but for now it works and looks cool.

Rubbish Toaster – After two years the Morphy Richards toaster is ready to be replaced. Although pretty on the outside the toast comes out either burnt or uncooked on one side. The bread has to be put through twice because if I turn the setting up it burns. The toast is hard to get out once it is cooked. It takes a long a time to cook. Not Good - so slow – This is more a bread warmer and a toaster. I am using home made rye bread which usually takes longer to toast than commercial bought bread but this toaster was so frustratingly slow - and then didn't fully toast the bread. warranty period ended it started playing up, with the lever not staying down, then it started to fail to toast on both sides. Now it just doesn't toast on either side, it just slowly warms the bread. I will be looking at brands other than Morphy Richards for my next toaster.

Now the the toaster the 4 slice toaster wow people wow, I have never regretted purchasing a product like I have when I purchased this toaster, again they might maybe something look good but they operate worse then a cheap and nasty toaster, the knobs to push the toast down doesn’t keep the toast down all the time, when toast is finished being burnt it flings straight out of the the toaster seriously I have to be there waiting for it or I will find it either on the bench or floor, the roasting levels on this product in fact all there products are weak the 3 which should be jut right for toast doesn’t really goat the 4 will burn your toast and yes i have tried the in between and it will under toast so it’s a no win.

It might sound like I’m having a sook which I am but so would you after paying over $300 for this, the misses wanted them for mother’s day and I was really uncomfortable with the purchase as I had never heard of morphy Richards before and our bevilles where really good products they were 5 yo and still working like a dream, this morphy Richards really don’t know functionality but only making things look good, advice guys after putting lipstick on a pig guess what it’s still a pig so starting with cheap and nasty products and dressing them up and charging a fortune doesn’t change the fact there cheap and nasty and I will tell everyone how bad this product is and will spread the word about how I am so disappointed by this product. not using them straight in the bin there gone.

Toaster operation – We have been dudded,we spent the extra money and thought we were getting a good product and it will not toast any sought of bread, it is as if the thermostat does not do anything you put it on full it takes for ever and you still have to do it all again. Good luck making contact – Bought a Morphy Richards kettle - then spent 1.5hrs trying to get matching toaster. Almost impossible to get in touch with a Morphy Richards directly. was then advised by 2 of these stockists they no longer stock this brand and Morphy Richards discontinue stock quite frequently so could not in fact order as I was advised by Morphy richards rep. I now have a kettle I cant match with a toaster and will NEVER use this company again

Looks great, quality is questionable – We've had our toaster for a couple of years and haven't had any real issues until today. Went to put my bread in to make toast and now on of the dials does not stay down when you go to toast your bread. Therefore, my 4 slice toaster is now only a 2 slice toaster.
