Best slow cooker ever – Love this slow cooker it cooks at 6 hours as standard or you can adjust the time if needed. Best appliance I have. Makes life easy with a little one and being pregnant dinner is done in no time. Will go and buy my mum one too as she loves it  Show details ·  1

Never skipped a beat – I have had this slow cooker for at least a decade. It has always done a great job. I like that it adjusts the temperature to the length of time you want to cook the roast or casserole for rather than low med or high settings. After it finishes cooking it sits on a keep warm cycle. My cooker still works but am looking at an upgrade to a sear and cook so I don’t need to brown separately.  Show details

I need it most days – I have never had a bad meal from my cooker. I work till late and I put my evening meal on in the morning. When I get home it is always petfectly cooked. I use it for making large meals and heading off to a friend's house, also easy to cart around. I also use it in my preserving a lot. So practical. Easy to clean, a simple wipe out or in the… Read more

dishwasher and so easy to use. I love that it's digital and thinks for itself really. I just turn it on and forget about it.

Who would have thought that thirty years later I would be buying another slow cooker – This is a great product, time saving, economical and so convenient when cooking for a busy household. I am able to cook a variety of meals, cakes, desserts such a versatile product. This is my favourite appliance in the home. I purchased my first slow cooker or crock pot many years ago and I regret giving it away now that I have rediscovered how versatile the slow cooker is.  Show details ·  1

Slow cooker – Hi, I'm not happy with my slow cooker it was brought as a wedding present about a year ago. I decided to use it for the first time today for a stew so put all the ingredients in including gravy put it on low left it for a hour and a half came back home to find the glass lid had shattered and bits of glass in the diner and on the side.  Show details

great - I love the turn off function – really functional and easy to use. There isn't a low and high like most slow cookers but Ive never had a problem as the turn off timer function is fabulous - I pretty much cook most things for 6 hours. but a slow cooked pulled pork I would leave on for 8.

disappointed – Cooks too hot and overcooks if left on for recipe time. So restrictive with only 1 setting. I have used it twice and it remains in the bottom of the cupboard on the way to the Salvos. I thought I was getting a quality product by way of the brand but not so.

Cooks way too hot! – The settings for this is simply the time you want the food to be cooked. The heat setting for the different times does not change. For 6 hours of cooking it is bubbling hot. For 12 hours of cooking it is bubbling hot. Very disappointing for a highly regarded company.

Disappointed and annoyed – Have cooked a couple of meals in this but as others have noted, you don't know what heat it is cooking at - high or low? No clues in the instruction booklet. What really annoys me is that the instructions say you have to have ALL THE INGREDIENTS COVERED WITH WATER. So you're stuck with watery stews unless you want to scoop all the liquid out… Read more

at the end and spend half an hour reducing it on the stove top. Otherwise all that goodness in the cooking liquid is just wasted.

Has anyone else cooked in one of these without covering the food with liquid? Was the food properly cooked? I'm worried about getting food poisoning. Rang the company but couldn't get a satisfactory answer.

Have to cover all ingredients with liquid.

Terrible – It sucks! I am going to buy a different brand of digital slow cooker with my refunded money tomorrow. Very disappointed with this product the older style slow cookers would even be better than this. In my opinion there are no pros, I returned my slow cooker to Clive Anthony's today and got a refund. No High and low temp. You aren't able to switch… Read more

the cooker to keep warm yourself if the meal is cooked earlier you have to wait until the timer finishes there is no option but to turn the cooker off completely. You cannot set the timer to less than 4hrs this is annoying if you realise the meal is cooked and you only want it to cook for say another half hour or if you want to timer to finish so it switches to keep warm.

Good – As I go to work at 6.15 each morning being able to prepare the night before and come home at night to a cooked meal (especially stews in winter) is fantastic. I like the Keep Warm function but would prefer to also be able to programme it to turn on - like the bread makers do. I would prefer to have it start early afternoon and I now depend on my… Read more

husband (if he is home) to turn it on. I will try turning it on in the mornings but don't really fancy it being on all day even if it is just keeping it warm. Surely a company can easily bring one out that does that - after all your radio comes on every morning. I have tried a timer on the power switch but that doesn't work as you have to push the Cook button to start it Being able to programme it to cook a certain time Not being able to program it to turn on. Also the fact that there is no High and Low or you can;t go below 4 hours for cooking. Beacuse of that I don't cook my meat forst as a lot of recipes say to do.

Excellent – I chose well! Real fuss-free cooking. Performance so far is reliable. Meals using maker's recipes are delicious, flavours seem more intense. Easy to assemble and clean. The 6.5L capacity is perfect for a couple who want a healthy meal plus extra to freeze for office lunches or later family gatherings, and who want to avoid the temptation of… Read more

convenient take-aways. Minimum time in the kitchen is a real bonus. Newcomer to slow cookers, purchased this as my first one one partly because arthritic hands like the digital function rather than difficult switches on other models. I like its independence of operation - nothing to do: set it, forget it! Lack of authors writing recipe books for this digital, 'no high or low setting' approach to slow cooking. Perhaps Morphy Richards could contract a couple of digital-type cookbooks to supplement their user guide recipes and reward us for our choice of their product? Guesswork is needed for using 'high/low' recipes that dominate the market, but it's probably only a matter of practice.

Love It! – I used mine for the first time today. Cooked a split marinated chicken and vegies. Absolutely perfect! Cooked well and so moist and tender! The flavour was awesome! Noticed if you look at the electronic display on a different angle whilst cooking you can see a high/low setting. The longer you set the cooking time the lower the heat. Looks great and cooks nicely. User friendly!

Terrible – This should not be called a slow cooker.Upon ringing the company to ask if it cooked on high or low I was told"medium".As all the recipe books talk about high and low we are very disapointed. We have since told the lady at David Jones she should advise people about this.Anyway its safely tucked away in the cupboard and our 30 year old… Read more

Good – Great Cooker. I think the previous reviewers comments may reflect the recipes used rather than the quality of the cooker. Easy to clean and timer is very easy to use. Large pot size holds family sized meals None that I can think of... had a Breville before but it broke within a week.

Good – when i bought mine a rep from morphy richards was there i asked him how can we put it on low or high heat if it doesnt actually say it on the display, he told me if i put the timer on the maximum 12 hours it would be on low heat but if i was to put it on for 4 hours it would be on high. i took it home and havnt regretted my purchase ever since. i… Read more

make all sorts of meals and being a 6.5lt capacity i freeze most for later dinners and lunches being only myself and my partner. and the best thing is that morphy richards appliances have 2 yr warranty. love it. a bit big especially if you have limited bench space.

Good – I have only used it twice so far, but I am really happy with it. The timer function is a great plus - very handy as you can leave it to do its thing, as well as it then switching to 'keep warm' when it is finished. I was a bit concerned that there wasn't a 'low' settings function especially given so many people complained other brands overcooked… Read more

meals even on low settings. So far however I have to say it doesnt appear to get hot at all and it appears to cook at a very low temperature which is perfect for slow cooking. Great appearance, great large size and easy to clean. In the ideal world a slow cooker that had a low-med-high option as well as a timer and a keep warm function would be the one to purchase, however I was unable to find one that had all of these. In the meantime this one is working well for me. Very easy to use. The count down timer is great, as is the keep warm function. Great size, great design, doesnt appear to overheat. No manual low-med-high-keep warm settings

don't do it – As with the previous reviewer...variable heat dial doesn't work...all 3 settings are HIGH...this NOT a slow cooker! Only bought it last Saturday at Chatswood David jones. wrote an email to the company and got a "form reply". Even though it has a 2 year warranty, it still takes time and money to replace..Having said that I think it is a design… Read more

fault..judging by the uncaring reply i received the company doesn't care. looks great in black It doesn't do what it is designed to do...COOK FOOD SLOWLY.

Good – Very easy to use. The foods come out tasty and cooked well. Makes a great rice pudding for my ever hungry 11 year old son. Would probably buy this one again. Tis easy to use. The timer function is fantastic. Easy to Clean. Good capacity for feeding family of four. Has keep warm function for when timer is complete. The timer has minimum of 4… Read more

hours, which is a bummer when doing vegetarian stuff, cos it doesn't take as long as meat. No high or low settings, just goes to keep warm after timer is finished.

Excellent – I love my new slow cooker! i hadnt had a lot of experience with them previously but am now putting everything in it. Size: The bowl is huge and you can get anything in it. There is no high low function which most recipes ask for, but i have worked out just to go in the middle somewhere and it is great

Excellent – This slow cooker is absolutely wonderful, it gets alot of use in my house. It has a large bowl capacity and is good to cook up extras and freeze. Its great for busy mums or for people who work alot, you just put the ingredients in and turn it on in the morning and just walk away and let it cook itself. The keep warm function is also good but no… Read more

Excellent – A fantastic kitchen appliance, suited for everyone from the busy mum to the working family. Holds a huge amount of food and would also be good for party catering. reason), but is especially good for dishes that you would choose to 'slow cook' anyway, it is just safer not to have them on the stove top or hot oven for that long. Especially with kids around.

The flavours of the dishes are generally more intense as there is no 'cooking off' or reducing occuring. I have also never managed to burn anything in my slow cooker either. The lack of a low or high setting, this is minor though - it is very hard to overcook anything in this slow cooker!

Bad – I got this slow cooker from flybuys if I had to but another I would go for one that has high, mediun, low settings! I would'nt buy this one if I had the choice. Looks good easy to clean It only has one setting there is no high or low setting therefore when recipes call for high or low settings you dont know how long to put it on for.

Good – Disappointed with no 'high' and 'low' temps but will work the times out. Would be better to be like other slow cookers. Have only used it once, but very happy with out-come. Have to learn a new way of cooking, but I'm sure it'll be ok. Looks good, and very easy to clean. Large enough to feed my family, and get a decent sized piece of meat in. … Read more

The 'warm' feature is a great idea. No 'High' and 'Low' temp. Morphy Richards need to alter this in future models, as most recipes call for these.
