Beautiful & Loads of character – Best looking bike I've ever owned, loads of character and a pleasure to ride through the mountains. Good torque, excellent build quality, great handling and very comfortable to ride. But it does have some notable imperfections. The rear suspension is pretty average so I replaced mine already. The engine braking is great on open road but less great in city traffic. The gears are also quite agriculture, although having a 6th gear makes cruising at +100km a breeze at only 3500 rpm. Also it is a cold-blooded beast so needs a minute or too to warm up before it will perform as it should. I love it but maybe not for everyone

the good for drive – On one hand, the main front of the battle, with 200 hp hypersports technical refinements worthy Superbike completely unusable on the road. Further back, fashion Revivals, motorcycles design drew on the past glory of the brands. Thus Moto-Guzzi unveiled the series of V7, a revival of a prestigious line with a heart of Breva 750. A competitor of the Triumph Bonneville for an almost identical prices.

The range of V7 was remodeled in 2012. This Special is a vintage version provovante more than the base V7. She abandons the sticks rims spoked wheels, more classical in spirit as in style. Chrome so far, they become black in 2014. A nice interior two-tone comes to cover the tank whose capacity was increased to 22 liters.

Like all models powered by block 744 cm2, the V7 Special received a big update to its twin. There are no less than 70% new parts, both inside and out. The fins of the cylinder heads soften their edges and are covered with a new class more frankly cylinder head cover. The candle takes the opportunity to hide and to increase the compression ratio; it goes to 10.2: 1. In the cylinders, much has been revised: new combustion chambers, new pistons and rings, and modified intake. This is now done via a single throttle body 38 mm. The gas stream passes through a section Y to supply the two bowls. On exit, there is a lambda sensor for each cylinder. Besides an improved console of the revised block ads perform better, with 48 horses now and over 6 kgm of torque. The gearbox also announced a better approval. In 2014, there grafting a more compact alternator.

Rediscover the joy of pure motorcycling – It's like riding a classic bike without the breakdowns. Unlike some other marques the Guzzi V7 isn't a modern bike made to look like an old bike rather it is a refinement of an existing model over the years. I've just sold a 1999 speed triple that was an absolutely fantastic machine for over 100,000km but almost impossible to keep your points in cop and speed camera infested W.A. Plus I'd always missed the heart beat of a twin. At first I was a little worried that I'd miss the power but the opposite is true. The Guzzi is still a joy to ride at speeds that would be tear-inducing boring on the triple. The build quality seems excellent and it does everything well. One of the only air-cooled push rod twins left (Harley the only other?) which means a beautifully clean look sans radiators and plumbing. That is another pleasurable aspect of owning one. I've rediscovered the enjoyment of cleaning, tinkering and modifying or altering a bike. After many years, in numerous countries, over countless thousands of miles, on several different styles of bike it's wonderful to feel the joy of the fundamental spirit of motorcycling again. Classic look and feel. Shaft drive. The exhaust note is awesome with Lafranconis fitted. The silver one isn't available in Oz! Standard pipes look good but sound like a 250 Honda (not Guzzis fault - emission laws). Colour options could be better.
