Bought this phone last year (Razr ultra 40) and just months later experienced problems namely the screen got it repaired only to have the screen fail again 2 months later contacted Motorola to request if I could have the phone replaced which wasn't that old ? only to be giving the run around and only offered another screen repair ! Worst part is… Read more
they do not have a repair agent in Melbourne anymore has to be sent to Sydney so unless you have a spare phone or can borrow one your without a phone for awhile !! My advice to anyone thinking of buying a Motorola DONT !!!!!!!!!
you pay a lot of money for a mobile phone these days - with the RAZR you get the phone and the image as well, and that is close to priceless. you will see from other more technical reviews: it works well, is quite robust, etc. this is my second (modern that is) RAZR and the only negative thing I would say is that the original one had this… Read more
excellent "box" thing to stand it up and made the sound truly excellent. very good for covid tele-work from home. The present one has "pretty darn good" acoustics, but it is about 2mm too wide to fit in the "old" sound box. that is the only thing "not as good". but back to the primary point, you pull this out and say :"Yeah it is a motorolla, not some cheap copy" and . . . you cant put a measure or a price on self esteem, but Motorolla sure adds to that slippery quality. I wouldnt be without it.
Good phone overall, poor camera – The phone works great. The flip mechanism is solid and reliable. The screen dent isn't over the top after months of use. Screen looks good and well lit outside. Audio is acceptable. Front screen is more usable than you may think for checking and removing notifications, answering a call and tending to an alarm. Battery life is enough for one day of… Read more
medium use
Only issue with the phone is the camera. It really leaves a lot to be desired. If you don't use a phone camera often then it's not an issue, but it is slow to respond and quality isn't that great.
For a medium priced phone it is a good entry to a flip phone. If you can get it on special and want to try a flip without forking out a lot of money, go for it.
First foldable – Great screen, seems reliable, fast and looks good. The texture of the outside is great. edit: screen broke, probably my fault
Serious security vulnerability – Brand new phone not receiving system updates. Security patches are six months behind leaving me vulnerable to security flaws. Motorola resolution is to flash firmware - impossible for me as the tool is Windows only and regularly wiping everything on a phone with large storage such as this would be a nightmare. Show details
Practical and user friendly – For it's price with the features and user friendly Motorola version of Android, You can't beat it. Easy to use Motorola features are great. Fits in your pocket while still having a large screen. A little slow sometimes but that is expected at this price point with the processor being used. For a good all round cost effective phone, I would recommend. Show details
