Moveall

Never in my experience have I had to deal with a more inept and overpriced furniture removalist team. For a start they charge depot to depot, when most others charge job start to job finish. I informed the coordinator that the item I needed moved was very heavy, and that it would be prudent to send the relevant equipment and enough personnel to do the job. Their first attempt failed, so they sent another truck and more people to do the job. They managed to get it on the truck, then I received a phone call from the coordinator asking if they could delay delivery for a few hours because they'd picked up another job, and that it would be a few hours later than the stated arrival time. I agreed. An hour past the new arrival time I received a text message from one of the workers stating that as it was now dark, it was "too dangerous" to deliver that evening, could they drop it off after the weekend because it was"too difficult" to deal with on the weekend. Monday came and I got a phone call saying they'd drop it off Tuesday morning at 8am. Okay. Tuesday morning at 8.10am I got a message saying they were now here to drop it off. I went out to meet them, and before me stood two workers, one the size of a child. I told them that they wouldn't be able to do the job as it was very heavy. They had a lot of trouble understanding me, and went ahead and tried. They were unable to get it off the truck. So I called the coordinator and told him this, and he said that they wouldn't be able to do the job until they were able to co-ordinate 4 workers to do it, and the earliest time possible would be close to two weeks later and my item would be put in storage until then. On the day of delivery, 3 workers arrive with the truck, and after a couple of hours it was in, only after I told them to disassemble it.

Never has there been a more misnamed removals company. Not one thing that they promised were they able to achieve, and weeks after the desired and booked date, the only reason that the job was completed was because I had to instruct them how to do it. And then I was charged twice what I paid for the item. $1700 to move a single item, in my opinion, is ridiculously exorbitant and overpriced. Incompetence and ineptitude, lies and excuses are what you get with MoveAll.
