Follow the locals! – Rebranded, so I hear, formerly Dumpling Queen, but now, Ms Dumpling. My first time to this busy eatery, only because I had to drop off people at the airport, otherwise, I'd rarely cross the harbour. constantly. Go and get your own cutlery, bowls and water, and a short time later, our first meal appears...."Sliced beef with fresh rice noodles!" he says, and disappears....3 min later, "Pan fried Pork Buns!", and he disappears again....another 2 mins and our third dish appears..."Xiao Long Bao!", and I'm wondering if we can get through this. The noodles were great, fresh and soft, simply tossed in soy with sprouts, egg and scallions, with the most important wok fried "burnt" oil flavour permeating the dish. The Pan fried Pork Buns were "epic", amongst the best I've ever tried, and believe me, I've tried plenty. Half baked crispy bottoms with a pork mince filling which when accompanied with the rice wine vinegar, is pure heaven, and the last dish, Xiao Long Bao were very good, perhaps could've been hotter, as they didn't burn my lips! Fairly expensive for what is a "light lunch" coming in under $40 for two, but this IS Westfields, with ample parking, facilities, and shopping at hand. The Food Court had plenty of options, but this place was by far, the busiest. "Follow the locals" I say, you wont be disappointed.
