Avoid – Overcrowded, spent two days in queues, staff overworked rude and unhelpful, children entertainment over booked, restaurants over run and breakfast area total free for all with not enough food or tables, queues so long that you couldn’t move. Food was so terrible and not fit to eat. This trip was meant to be a taster for our kids and chill out weekend, but it’s totally scared the kids and is was far from a relaxing. If your going on a stag or hen then this probably for you. Drainage problem was sickening around parts of the ship. Customer service didn’t seem to care about any complaints, possibly because that they were overrun with complaints. Only positive thing I can say on this whole trip, the boat itself was lovely.

Disgusted!!!! – Whilst the MSC Virtuosa is a luxury ship, it also charges luxury prices for just about everything. But what I'm really disgusted about is that if you want to purchase drinks or any goods as you go, you have to load your cruise card with the minimum GBP250 pounds (almost $500 AUD). Half way through the cruise after only spending just over GBP100 pounds, our cruise card is locked as overdrawn, can't even get a beer for hubby. Turns out they deducted GBP252 pounds for gratuities without so much as a mention in any of their documents given to us or mentioned on board. Notwithstanding also, that if you want a glass of water in the restaurant, they charge GBP3.50 pounds. At the end of the cruise they do the tally, give you a statement, and they deducted the amount we owed out of one of our other accounts in AUD and to this date (2 weeks later) are still holding the GBP250 pounds. Emailing them gets you nowhere, all I got was a reply stating it was my bank holding it. Spoke to my bank and they have nothing to do with the hold. MSC has to release the money, and no reply to the last email I sent over a week ago. This was our second cruise with MSC and our last. PS By the way, the food at the buffet 'Marketplace' is not only lukewarm at best but poorly cooked and repetitive.
