No Troubles – Purchased off my Dad as it was too big for him he had it for 6 months and I've had it for 2 years. A nice quiet mower which handles some thick grass without slowing. No issues so far with a weekly mow of 2500m yard. Starts first time and I only mulch mow, I found the catcher only half fills due to the small hole but perfect for mulching. Previous… Read more
Victa was better with catcher but the mulch plug was too big so went threw 2 of them. So far so good, was hesitant after reading reviews, not now.
What a heap – Have used this mower 10 times (10 starts) cord winder has fallen apart completely, also the self propel is useless, the cable has loosened and is not able to be fixed which is a simple problem, i can not fix this myself as warranty ( what a joke ) will be voided. These problems have all happened within 10 uses of using this mower. I will never use, buy or recommend MTM to anyone.
Bad choice – Then I found no parts, muffler fell off, bad oil leak, bolts would come loose, pull start bolts broke, its a piece of crap.
mtm lawnmowers are great untill you need a part – found the lawnmower is great, then had the blades go,, they are not as strong as most then just over 12 months and the bolts holding the pullcord on the motor snapped in 2 and at the same time the muffler fell off, have been trying to find somewhere to get them from?? if anyone knows let me know. i got the run around from agr machinery. kept… Read more
getting told to go to website to order ... there is nothing on the website... 3 calls later another email says to send pictures of parts and it will take 6 weeks to order your items... surely there must be someone in australia besides agr that sells parts for them... help works well, mulches good if it breaks the whole mower is usless , u wont get a simple part for it, the customer service personel just give you a run around and you get no where unless you get angry at them,, then you get an email to start the whole thing over again
mtm lawn mower – well was going alright until I needed a cable for it mower shops wont touch them arg machinerny give you run around then a web site with nothing in it also same for any other parts jet washer etc would go near them again would prefer to pay top dollar rather than go through them cables snap
Cause of a lot of pain – I bought the mower up a grade of this one on eBay from AGR Machinery ... I haven't regretted anything more in my life. The mower looks great and has all the brilliant specs - for around $350. I should have known it was too good to be true. A 200cc engine! Self propelled! 4 Blades! Very poorly made, even the fuel cap is so terrible that it… Read more
doesn't screw on tight enough to stop fuel leaking out when the mower is on.
The wheels are hard plastic so when the self propelled engine kicks in it slides and doesn't really push.
But the biggest disappointment is the engine. You'd be far better off getting a much smaller engine on a similarly priced mower from Bunnings, BigW, Kmart wherever, because this actually konks out when you mow slightly thick grass about 10cm long.
Then the company itself - the customer call centre is not in Australia. They charged my credit card twice and it took one month for the illegal charge to be reversed. Every time I call up they say "I have to refer you to accounts department" or "resolution department". Well once you've called up 8 times and you've never heard from the other departments you begin to wonder if they even exist.
5-6 weeks after telling them the machine is rubbish and I want to return it they've finally accepted it back. I have yet to find out if they will ever give me my money back though. Big footprint Almost everything, particularly the customer service and the bad engine
I should also note that this company is AGR Machinery on eBay but is also known as Mills Trading… Read more (+3 replies)
