Mushiki

I bought the Mushiki pork gyoza dumplings from Coles and had high expectations. However, there was barely any pork or any filling really. Only one fell apart while cooking so that was good. I feel tricked into buying this product. I also have the pork buns and don't have high hopes but to be fair I will review those separately. Nice packaging for the gyoza but a rip-off. Show details
The taste of their Pork & Shallot Gyoza is absolutely awful. We couldn't swallow it and threw them away. I gave them a second chance the next day and opened the second packet. The same happened and I ended up throwing all three packets I bought away.
Beautiful buns. Fillings are very tasty and a kids delight!!
The worst dumplings ever, the dough is too thick and doughie, filling below average taste. Don't be fooled by the pretty packaging. Ruin my dinner, anything out there frozen or otherwise is better this product Show details
Do not buy, terrible product – Tried the pork as well as the beef flavours. Both had terrible fillings. Not sure if they were off or just had weird seasoning? Kind of tasted like floral hand soap for some strange reason.
Expensive disappointment – I WAS FOOLED by the nice packaging and premium price for the Mushiki 'Bun Boy' steamed buns. Sadly they were worse than average brands you can find at your local supermarket, let alone at Asian outlets. The buns were stodgy, not fluffy - they didn't puff up like the proper ones do when steamed. And the fillings were not good quality or tasty.… Read more
There were no actual pieces of meat and other ingredients in a sauce - instead what we got were firm balls of unidentifiable paste that separated from the buns when cooked. I wouldn't have these again, even if you gave them to me for free.
I wanted to like these dumpings cos I paid good $$$ but..."Poseurs" – "Mush" and "Iki" perfectly sum up this brand. Tried a few different ones as I thought maybe I was having a bad day. I wanted to like them so even bought the pork & prawn dumplings twice! But I now have resigned myself to really disliking this brand. I've also tried their "Bun Boy" and "Gyoza Girl" products. They are all the same - tasteless mush.… Read more
Cannot tell the difference between the different types of filling and the wrappings are very doughy and bland. This is despite smothering the cooked product in Sriracha, peanut butter, sesame oil, vinegar to try to liven it up. Wasted calories! The first year apprentices at my TAFE Asian cooking course made better dumplings than these amateurs. These dumplings are a really poor imitation of the real thing, and when I found out they are concocted by white poseurs that explains a lot! However, I must say that Poodle did enjoy them.

So angry about this brand that I had to review
