the same type of sponges and living with the frequent replacement of splitting sponges, I started looking for alternatives. Based on the good reviews, I bought "Natural Value Dual Surface Cellulose Sponges". To my big disappointment, they are much worse than the "3M Scotch-Brite Handy Sponge sponges" I had been using: the "Natural Value Dual Surface Cellulose Sponge", on average, lasts no longer than a week before the sponge material splits to such a state that you have to throw the sponge away. I use the "Natural Value Dual Surface Cellulose Sponge" to wipe off water splashes near the vanity sink. I never use it to clean sharp objects such as knives. I suspect that the "Natural Value Dual Surface Cellulose Sponge" splits after being squeezed often enough (one needs to squeeze the excess water off the sponge after use to keep the sponge dry & clean). The "Natural Value Dual Surface Cellulose Sponge" is not cheap and is disappointingly inferior. I cannot wait till I use up these inferior sponges I have bought before I try out home-brand natural cellulose sponges from Coles or Woolies (75% less in price). I hope eventually I will find some good & cheaper & longer-lasting sponges.
