What a great experience – My Navman has saved my license/points because of the speed warnings etc as I easily get distracted. So when it failed I was very cranky. It was still under warranty but I couldn't find the DOP paperwork so I thought it was a bin job and started a bad review because it had broken down early. Through the Product Review site, Navman contacted me and… Read more ·  1

I was eventually able to establish DOP & that it was still under warranty. They sent me a return post voucher with no charge. I only had to buy a small packing box and bubble wrap from Australia Post and it was sent off. It was only gone two days and I get a message saying something was being returned. It proved to be a replacement product, a better, more recent model with more features and I was back on the road protected from speeding fines and from getting lost. I was so impressed that Navman proactively sought to not get a bad review. I should have contacted them in the first place but I thought it was going to be all so hard, I was so wrong and that is my bad! So Navman, for me, is a great company and product and their backup and support are fabulous. This great service was the turning point for me to change my cranky opinion. Good on you Navman, you are great!

Great Unit if – I've had this unit for years and found it to be a great unit for navigation and video recording but, I am constantly asked by friends who have similar units from Navman or other manufacturers who have recording issues. After myself trialing various MSD cards I am convinced a lot of issues can be attributed to either cheap MSD cards or cards of not… Read more

sufficient specifications as suggested by the manufacturer. As the old saying goes "you get what you pay for" so don't skimp on quality MSD cards, if you want great video quality and recording time duration spend the extra $, its a waste to have a unit of such great quality let down by using inferior quality MSD cards, and this goes for all manufacturers

Don't buy – Poor, battery life was poor. It had a complete meltdown and stopped functioning. It took a lot of resets to get it working properly. I had to keep trying to get updates downloaded, maybe 30 times

Very happy.....so far – I have only had this unit for a couple of weeks having previously owned a Tom Tom XL which was no longer being supported with map updates etc. I have just returned from a 2,200 km. road trip and the Navman duo performed up to my high expectations i.e with some minor exceptions* the directions and instructions were very good and I'm amazed at how… Read more ·  3

good the dashcam videos are. * the minor exceptions are that it takes a while to orientate itself when switched on and like other gps devices, it sometimes has difficulties in a city cbd. One major benefit over the Tom Tom is the windscreen mount which is very good. Tom Tom was hopeless and they just ignored the hundreds of complaints online.

Navman is poor quality – My navman duo 2 is 10 months old and has stopped working. It does not turn on. If you like me want dependability reliability and safe device to use when your wanting directions dont buy navman rubbish. Im serious they are no good. Oh and by the way the battery is non functional no matter how long you charge it. Navman does not use good quality batteries that last more than 10 minutes. Thats because they think what for as you will be connected to the car battery. But you need sometimes in planning a safe trip to use it on its internal battery. That is not possible. Complete rubbish navman.com. You are a disgrace and shouldnt make any such devices

Last Navman I'll ever buy – Ok the good points first,l Easy to set up and install. (That's it) Now for the bad points: Every time there is a map update its wipes out All of my programed addresses so if you're traveling you're left in the lurch as to where you're going. It won't record addresses as in street numbers (ones that other models do) and to top it off now it has an… Read more

I Will never have another NAVMAN, my comments stand unchanged – And this Navman DUO 2.0 that I have is bound for the bin. Maps report Railway crossings in 280 Metres where the railway crossing is at 90 degrees to my direction of travel. Or worse still, while I was on an overpass 20 metres above the railway line. The GPS reported a combined speed camera as being 40 metres ahead when I was already ten metres… Read more

passed it. The GPS reported school crossing at 400 metres ahead and instantly reduces the speed limit to 25 KMH at 11 PM on a Sunday night. Find function does not recognise Hutt Street as a legitimate part of Adelaide CBD or as part of Adelaide in general. The lane departure and forward collision function takes for ever to get set up and are both wildly inaccurate at best. I would sooner get driving advice from my ex wife. I gave up trying to get voice command to work. An earlier Navman I had performed well until it was stolen, didn't have the camera but that's not what I bought it for.

Buy this product at your own risk! – I bought this product from Autobahn in December 2018. My biggest regret is not returning it straight away. It is simply rubbish. Since installing it the following problems have occurred: 1. The screen fades (intermittently) to the point where images can barely been seen. 2. The battery doesn't hold a charge. (I had also this problem with a… Read more

previous Navman) 3. It resets each time the ignition is switched off & I have to press the agreement button & wait for maps to upload every time.

The battery is now completely dead and the device will not come on (or perhaps the screen is dead) even after an overnight charge.

These problems have been intermittent therefore I have hesitated to return it earlier. But it will be returned to Autobahn now. I see from most reviews that this product has attracted a lot of serious complaints. At $254 this was not a cheap buy and I expect it to be fault free. This product should be withdrawn from sale and customers refunded.

Not perfect, but does what it's supposed to – So, I bought this device with some trepidation after reading the other reviews on here. I also agree the forward collision warning does go off randomly and often, but I turned it off. It was weird that this function was in the camera… Read more

Not bad when you get used to it – Bit messy to set up, but eventually got it right, gps works well and the video is excellent. Following the instructions were OK, and with a bit of fiddling around we updated the maps OK. Very handy to have both in the one unit, especially for use in hire cars - only use this unit when we are on holidays - it is ideal for hire cars incase of accident Show details

On my fourth unit already! – On my fourth Navman Drive Duo already, the first one was a Drive Duo and the three subsequent replacement ones were Drive Duo 2.0. First unit (Drive Duo) First fault on the Drive Duo was that it was stuck on the start-up screen, took it back to Bing Lee, they called Navman and was advised to upgrade the firmware. This was done but still stuck on… Read more

the start up screen. Bing Lee sent it back to Navman and got it back about three weeks later, the worksheet that came with it showed that software was updated 6 months later same issue, took it back to Bing Lee who called Navman and the unit was sent off to Navman again. A week later went to Bing Lee to collect and the unit was replaced with the Drive Duo 2.0 and Bing Lee informed me that if I had any issues with the unit I would need to call Navman directly as they had supplied the replacement unit. Second unit, Drive Duo 2.0 Exactly two months afterwards the Drive Duo 2.0 failed again. Called Navman and was advised that this could be due to low charge and unit should be charged for 24 hours. Charged for 24 hours still same issue, Navman support sent instructions on how to reload software but software couldn't be reloaded; unit sent off for repairs. Two weeks later the unit came back, the job sheet says 'Software repaired and updated' Third unit, Drive Duo 2.0 Ten days later the unit failed again, it wouldn't navigate and would restart. This also happened in map and recorder mode. Sent unit for repairs and a week later received a replacement unit but it was delivered to the wrong address (thanks Australia Post courier, not Navman's fault) Called Australia Post and was told that the recipient had returned it to the Post Office so had a short drive to collect. Five days later the unit failed with the error 'waiting for GPS' Called Navman, performed a GPS reset and waited 10 minutes, same error; tried in different geographic locations (in case of GPS blackspot) same error, got the RMA to send the unit back. At this stage I asked if they could refund me for the unit or send me a dashcam and a GPS unit so that the total price would be on par with the Drive Duo 2.0; I didn't want another drive Duo 2.0 and asked to be contacted instead of just being sent a drive Duo 2.0 Fourth unit, Drive Duo 2.0 Received an email that a delivery from Navman is coming tomorrow, I thought it was fixed but on opening the box found that it was a replacement unit, which is now the fourth unit.

I hope it lasts but bitterly disappointed that no one from Navman called to discuss and given a choice instead of being given another unit. I would have liked to have a separate dash cam and GPS unit instead of another Drive Duo 2.0

The product is complete garbage – Sadly I have to say the same things as most of the above. The screen is just awful, particularly when wearing Polaroid glasses. You simply cannot see it at all. not the only one caught out by purchasing such a poor product. Compared with Google maps on my mobile, this is s not product ready for the market. So far map accuracy has been good. Installation was easy with the help of a kind employee of Noel Leeming. No problems with signal strength. The warnings of safety camera and railway lines are too late, by as much as 200m. Also railway lines are reported that were removed many years ago. A full recall would not be unreasonable as this device is not fit for purpose. This device will be giving Navman a bad reputation. Drive Duo 2 wahed out screen – My Duo 2 also has a very low contrast and washed out screen, impossible to view it on sunny days, my old MY60T leaves it for dead as it has much greater contrast and is quite easy to see on sunny days. re-adjusting the lens, to suit the ambient lighting all the time, while I am supposed to be driving. b) That is the design of them with that screen, well if it is meant to be viewed in a vehicle, then it should be designed to be, not fit for purpose is more accurate. Sorry Navman, the help center gives you choreographed responses, tilt it, adjust up the brightness (which does nothing to contrast!) that is the design. It is a pity, as I like the unit for its performance and camera, but just too frustrating to view and I don't want to have an accident because I am playing around with it trying to see what is on the screen and not watching the road.
