Disappointed – This is not an inexpensive dash cam and I am disappointed at the deception when purchasing and also with it's function. The unit requires the additional purchase of a specified SD card. This is not disclosed on the packaging. The unit in order to function with it's advertised parking collision function requires the purchase of an additional wiring loom. Again not disclosed. The unit fails in function. It starts operating when you enter the car but then turns off when the ignition is started. It requires manual reactivation every time if you remember! I have had excellent Navman products in the past. This is not up to their standard.

Hi GSF, We are sorry you have experienced problems with your device.

We do state on the back and bottom of the box that constant power is required for parking mode. We also state on the bottom of the box that a mSD card is required (sold separately).

Regarding the power issue you are experiencing, please send us a private message (or alternatively you can email our support centre @ PCNsupportaus@navman.com.au) with your Name, address, phone number, email, Model and serial number so we can assist in troubleshooting the issue.

We apologies for any inconvenience and hope we can resolve your issue.

Thank you.

Kind Regards, Navman Team

0/10 - At least I got a refund – Honestly I wish I’d never even bothered buying this, I’ll never get back the time I wasted but at least I got my money back. In order to install this dash cam, it requires using so many cables which end up making half your car unusable unless you want to untangle them every time you get in or out. Moreover, the power cable into the forward camera pokes upwards, limiting where you can install it reference your rear view mirror and radar module etc.

Footage is average, can’t read number plates unless you’re stopped directly behind a stationary vehicle.

Should probably mention somewhere in advertising or product description that you also need not only the SD card but likely a card reader, in case like me you have a laptop without an inbuilt card reader port.

0/10 would not recommend.

Purchased in at Bing Lee Physical store for $229.

Great dual dashcam – We have Navman dual camera dashcams (MiVue 800) in our two vehicles for a couple of years and they are fantastic. My wife was recently given a company car and she wanted the reassurance of a dashcam. Purchased this camera a few weeks ago and I installed it last weekend. Works perfectly. Both cameras are smaller than our old models and the front camera sits snuggly behind the rear view mirror. I installed using the 12 volt plug. Good features, great functionality. 2 year warranty. Highly recommended.

Purchased in at The Good Guys.

Buyer beware – Have a 2019 Hybrid. Not suitable for a hybrid as voltage fluctuates when in EV mode. Dashcam requires 5 volts for continuous No warnings on packaging no comment from salesman at JB HiFi. Contacted customer support after spending on installation then further checks. Their response sorry cant help. This product is under warranty and I should get a replacement model that suits my vehicle.

Hi Lloydincanberra, We have looked into your previous contact history and have found Your device was hardwired by an auto electrician but without a specially designed dash cam hardwiring kit that connects direct to the cars battery such as our smart box (insert website link). Since your car is a late model hybrid, every time your car goes to hybrid (EV) mode, and the voltage decreases, and thus the dash camera shuts down. You asked on on behalf of your auto electrician: 1. Is there a way to disable the low voltage cut off? 2. Can you supply a “power to earth” cable? 3. Would it be possible for me to swap my unit with a unit that does not have the low voltage cut off?

We advised on for these three questions above the answer was no We are sorry we are unable to provide you with a answer satisfactory for you

We suggest to consult your auto electrician if connecting the dash camera to your vehicle with the Smart box will resolve your issue

Incorrect. The device was wired correctly with a smart box. The issue is that at no time did tye salesman nor is there any advice on the product that the issue would icceton a hybrid. I have since had the smart box removed and the dash cam is working. All up with the purchase price of the unit and smart box, installation, removal of the smart box etc. I have paid over $500. Like I said buyer beware.
