I did last week say that I had a problem with the navman 650. But somehow I got it working again. How I got it working I don't know I did all the steps you mentioned. So I should say thanks herman.

I've just upgraded to Navman 650 from a Navman 600. My 600 would return to the last screen used whenever I start the car, however the 650 keeps returning to the initial welcome screen, How can I stop this and make it work like the 600 model did

I have a Navman MY650LMMT can you still buy maps for this model. Specifically Ireland and UK, I can't see anything on the Navman website with this model now

I forgot my password. How can i reset my password so i can download the program
Reset it to factory defaults. Not quite sure on memory but maybe hold the on button down for longer period.. anyways google that
Assuming you cannot get in..i.e. forgot password. If can go to the menu and change it. If not by holding down button a drum sound will occur

I connected to the Navdesk to update for My 650LMMT, and there was a message saying that updates are possible, and I clicked download, but it stops there and the download does not work.
When I start the car my Navman MY 650 will randomly power up, or not, at different points in it’s program. My previous unit would always power up at the point it was powered down. Is there a way to make this one do that?

How to delete recent locations

Thanks for the info, made sense. Despite going through the user manual it didn't have it written down anywhere that explained it that easily.
My NAVMAN MY 650 LMMT is just out of warranty and the screen has just started to become unresponsive to touch on the top of left hand side of the screen ie the "back button". Result = I'm stuck on this screen. I've tried hard reboot to no avail.

How do I turn down the volume on my Navman

Wondering is it possible to get a knew cradle for a NAVMAN MY 650 LMMT
My Navman my650LMMT only displays "30" speed limit all the time. The location appears correct.
The speed limit is only displayed as 30 in my MY650LMMT

To check, please go to the Main Menu>Settings>Safety>Set manual speed alert and you have the option to turn it off and set Speed Limit Alerts to Auto.

Hi "unknown". Thanks for your response. I did find out that the "default" speed was set to 30. I raised it to 110, while waiting for your response, I will try your suggestions and see how it goes. Thanks whoever you are.
PS: I do not like not being able to address benifiting your position and/or stature. I feel that I am being impolite and maybe rude as well. Not quite what someone of my age if happy doing. We know what respect is and thus like to address people properly and politely.
But that's the way it is these days. Everyone has to hide now. I won't and never will!!!
Do l need a password to update my free maps on somebody else's laptop?

And you couldn't simply tell me here why there are 2 NZ updates and no Australia update? In fact when I clicked on the link I get " Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site" . What's the point of asking questions here? I already looked everywhere to try finding an answer. Why do i need to send an email to " nav support" , if YOU ARE the nav support?

You may try the link below and should be working: external link Regarding the map update installation, it seems that the NavDesk software also detected an older map version of the New Zealand mapping. Below is the latest Map File for the Australia and New Zealand Map Update for your device: For Australia: MapData_NTAU1_v2103_5401.iso For New Zealand: MapData_NTNZ1_v2103_5401.iso
If the NavDesk is not detecting any new maps for Australia, you may try to change the file path/map location setting in the NavDesk. Please follow the steps below.
1) Open the NavDesk software on your computer. Make sure the unit is also connected and switched on. 2) Click on ‘My Navman’, and then select ‘Options’. 3) On the sub menus, click on ‘My Maps’. 4) Click ‘Change’ button, and you may set it to Desktop/specify the location of the ISO file. 5) Click ‘Ok’ all the way out. 6) Close and reopen the NavDesk software and you should get the prompts again.

Good afternoon, I have a Navman MY650LMMT and after pressing the Start button the GPS unit starts up but appears to be locked/frozen at the start screen...it doesn't get to the "Load Maps" screen. I have tried the Reset options but still get the same results. Any help most welcome. Regards, Steve G.

Navman 650 gets extremely hot when on dashboard and even gets hot when connected to the computer. Is there a problem as the unit ceased to function on a long trip and since I rebooted it is now operating but still getting very hot.
Dear Divots, Thanks for reaching out to us. Regarding your question, there’s a possibility that the device is getting too much power when connected to the car or computer. It is also possible that there is something wrong hardware components inside the device like the battery causing it to get hot.

Last updated, 12 October 2021. My satnav has frozen on "Drive Safely" screen. I have tried to restore via Navdesk 2, which is updated to the latest 1.4.2, but it still is blocked. I have tried a hard reset, pressing button on the back, and still blocked. All happened when I last updated. I tried turning it off then on, still nothing. I tried rest in Navdesk, still blocked. I only update from Navdesk 2. What now. Do I throw it away and go for another brand or can you fix it without me sending it to you. I've done this before and had to return it twice because the item was not fixed in the first place.
