A-neata... Better than I thought – Does a very good job on my whole house. I have to move some small tables etc because "A-neata" can't fit between them, but apart from that, much better than I had thought it would be. I have her set to do Mondays Wednesday and Fridays. Probably too much now she has got the house how she wants it, I sometimes give her a day off once a week. She has no trouble with a shag-pile mat, no trouble with the dog's water dish. no trouble if I leave shoes around - she will just push them out of the way.
She cant quite do the whole house on one charge (lasts about an hour and a half) but she comes back to the charger, charges up and returns to where she was up to. Really great to watch (she runs out of charge at one end of the house, and has no trouble finding the charger at the other end).
And the cleaning power is a lot better than I thought it would be - much better.
Only one issue - she leaves "crop circles" in the long-pile carpet. Me, I like that, it shows she has been around.
Very quiet. Conversation in the same room is no problem, and when returning for a charge, or going back to where she left off, is done without the vacuum running, so that's quieter again.

Flogs it's competition – Having just bought and returned a competing brand, *ahem powerbot v9000* then swapping with the Neato d75, I can 99% say this is the type of robot you're looking for. I'm a stickler for quality when spending this kind of money on a gadget and the d75 delivers. It navigates by dividing your room into quarters and systematically outlines the borders then cleans in a back and forth motion. Watching it's competition clean was frustrating and I constantly had to remove it from whatever place it had lost itself in. If the lights were out it was basically game over. The guidance system on the d75 however, in it's very first run of our house, was able to navigate the bot through every trap the powerbot had stuck itself in. Then return to its base, without fail,to recharge, something the powerbot was unable to perform in my house, even once.
The only time I have had to help the d75 was when it's laser went just under the threshold of the back flap of our reclining couches, it went under the flap and then got caught up in the frame underneath, the flap fell back and it was unable to find a way out. Although, instead of wandering until it lost juice, it beeped within about 10 seconds of not being able to find its way and I was able to simply lay a mag strip and haven't had the issue since.
If you're a perfectionist, this machine is for you.
My house is a 3 bedroom, tiled, lowset new home.

Best Robot I have had – I have a D-7500 for about a year, its absolutely great. My brother has a Roomba and the running cost are much higher, with the larder filter it need dosen't need to be replaced as often and when his Roomba needed new tyres he had to buy complete wheel assemblies, with the D-7500 we can buy just the tyres at a fraction of the price.
