Best Machine built – I bought this Washing Machine in 2007 from beta electrical when it arrived i could not wait to use it from fuzzy logic to delicates the economy wash it uses bubbles to clean your clothes. I bought a silence tray to slide underneath but it did 2 jobs 1 to make the machine much more quieter 2 stops any insect living in there. I slide it out 2 days… Read more

Reliable family workhorse – I don't even remember exactly when we bought our NEC washer but it has been at least 7 years now and it's still going strong. Our family has always preferred top-loaders due to our negative experiences with front loaders and their leaky seals and uncomfortable loading/unloading. However, we tried to find one that had a satisfactory water and… Read more

electricity efficiency rating (something front loaders cannot be beaten at!)

Although the plastic covering for the control panel has almost fully peeled off and the lint traps have failed, it's still going strong and hasn't broken down so far (touch wood!). As a family of four plus a Golden Retriever (who leaves her hair all over the place; clotes, sheets etc) the big NEC top loader has lived up to our expectations. It has been used frequently throughout its lifespan without problem (sometimes twice daily) and the washed items still come out clean.

The lint traps broke early last year but have been replaced with stockings as they are no longer in production for this model. Other than having visibly more lint and hair left over on darker coloured items, the results have been consistent from purchase till now.

It is fairly noisy, especially compared to the ultra-quiet washers of today.

All in all this NEC model has been adequate for our family, but there are probably much better machines out there. We will be using it till it dies which hopefully isn't anytime soon! -reliable -cheap -clean results, even with cold washes -satisfactory water/electricity efficiency for cold washes -waltzing matilda tune plays when you turn it on! -lint traps failed after 6/7 years and new parts are unavailable for this particular model -quite noisy -plastic cover for control panel has peeled off

OK – I would still use it until it run out of life. Would recomanded front loader although it is time consuming to washing load. But it used up less water & electricity. No agitator, can wash blanket, single or double bed quilts, jeans, large towel. 5 level of spin speed, can spin very very dry. 4 rinses to choose. Use lots of water & electricity. Lint… Read more

filter require to clean regularly, if not, cloths get lint on it after spin dry. Specially with pants & trousers, when turn it inside out, you will see lint attached on the fabric.
