incomplete kit – I bought a kit believing that the kit contained ALL the products I needed to complete a nasal rinse. The kit did NOT include a rinse bottle. Unacceptable and misleading! Show details

Bottle has a dangerous design with siphon effect – I have sinus issues. In the UK I used an irrigator that was kidney shaped and squeezable. The main difference is that the Neil Med has a straw which creates a siphon effect. The siphon effect is dangerous if you have poured water into the bottle that is hot. If you put the lid in water starts to come out due to the siphon effect created as the… Read more

straw is pushed through the water.

Usually this siphon effect causes just a trickle out of the hole but last time I used this it came out with enough force to hit my face. This caused me many injuries including - a burn to my chin - a 20cm x 2cm burn to my chest - burn to outside my eye lid - burn to inside my eye lid - burn to the white of my eye - partial detachment of my cornea.

It has taken many weeks to recover

I recommend you use a different irrigator that does not use a straw based design.

I have attached the irrigator (Squeezy) I used when I was in the UK which is not readily available here. From now on I will use that one and import via eBay as it is much safer. I have also attached photos of the neilmed device And photos of my injuries.

Works well – My ENT surgeon told me to use this to clean out my sinuses after they became clogged up from a broken nose and polyps. It took a few months to clean my sinuses out and not much happened for the first week or so but when things started to clear I was very relieved. I still use it now when I have a cold or flu to clear my sinuses and stop the headaches from blocked sinuses.

Good – I was given a starter kit from my ENT Surgeon as i have been a sufferer of Chronic Sinusitis for years. it was very simple to use, the sensation of luke warm water filling up your nasal passages for the first time but it really helps flush out the rubbish that sits in there and causes the infection to get worse if left. easy to use, felt improvement by the next day, a drug free marvel The price for refils of the sodium mix
