My Grandson (really my Daughter in law) purchased a $6.50 Allen’s promotional Christmas box from Myer at Macquarie Centre Sydney to give me a special gift as it had my name on it. They also purchased 4 others with names to suit. I just opened mine… Read more
and have never been more disappointed! I could not believe that it contained 6 small red frogs, 6 assorted jellies and two bite size chocolates. If the entire contents was 0.30c I would be surprised! $6.50 you have to be joking how dare you insult people’s intelligence and use Christmas as an excuse to extort your customers. Shame on you and your promotional team, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I will never (and I hope) anyone who reads this never buy another Allens product.
Follow-up · To follow their silence was deafening! I can only think that their customers don’t count for very much! I’m sure they think that customers have no impact on their bottom line!
Absolute garbage. Paid over $6 for a bag of strawberries and cream. Absolute joke. 4 other ones were milk bottles. Never Ever again I buy Allens lollies Show details

1 banana in the whole pack – There is a big banana on the front of the packet implying the packet contains bananas. I am very disappointed to say I got a total of 1 in my pack.

Disappointed- too many honey bears! – We have been buying retro party mix for a while and the quality has been getting worse and worse. The majority of the bags are honey bears and retro man. I think out of two packets we only got 2 pineapples, 1 race care and two teeth. The rest is made up of what I think are just fillers! Show details

Not what I remember – I have not eaten Allens Ripe Raspberries for a very long time (years). I was surprised that the raspberry did not taste or resemble any taste or flavour of raspberries at all. I can't describe what they taste like, accept it was all very sweet, with a plastic end to the non raspberry flavour on the lollies. I did taste the Natural Sweet company as… Read more
a comparison and the lollies were much much better, not only in flavour but also in the level of sweetness which was less sweet with more accurate flavour. I am not really sure why Allens would sell the Ripe Raspberries especially as they do not taste even similar to raspberries.
Not consistent – I would prefer they have x amount of each. This bag didn't have a single snake. A good product turned average. There is room for improvement. The bag advises the contents, false advertising. Ray Show details
Nice. But room for improvement! – A tasty treat but not as good as they were years ago. Still the variety of flavours is good. My biggest whinge is that the amount of different varieties is way out wack from pack to pack. A real sparsity sometimes of green racing cars and cola bottles, my two favourites!
It was ok – I liked the lollies yet they failed to have any pineapple lollies inside the bag even though it was advertised on the back of the package and also was concerned about having only one strawberry lollie. The lollies in the bag were also a bit hard compared to other products. Otherwise, I was happy with the product.
Just not like they used to be – Allens lollies many years ago used to be great - Soft, juicy, flavousome. Nowadays, they're more akin to cheap home-brand fare, and very dissapointing. Remember the jelly babies from many years ago? Dusted jellies that were soft and delicious. NOTHING like what they are now.

Where is the quantity control? – When you buy a bag of lollies, it’s usually because it includes your favourites. And with this pack, it features some of the best lollies created: racing cars, cola bottles, teeth and raspberries! However, it’s inexcusable to open a bag and find a mere 4 racing cars included, and not more than 10 cola bottles! Instead, the pack was swamped with… Read more
the vastly overrated honey bears and pineapples. Allens need to up their game when it comes to consistency and quantity control!
Good – As far as party mixes go, Allens Retro Party Mix is a nice product with lots of different delicious lollies to choose from. The quality of the lollies is very good and with just the right amount of sweetness and chewiness. While there are some lollies in there that I don't really like all that much, it is a party mix so it is a product that is… Read more
best enjoyed when shared with others. A selection of many tasty Allen's lollies in one bag. Great for parties. A bit pricey compared to other brands. Some of the lollies are not my cup of tea.
