great modem router – got this device about 3 years a go,upgrading from a older nighthawk model. never missed a beat unless i had isp issues, ever since the nbn connection (hybrid coxial) it all is much more stable.have been on different plans,100mb-250mb and currently 1gb.ethernet speed to pc is 920-970mb same goes with the 5ghz wifi at a range of 3-4 meters from the… Read more

router. in my sons bedrom i reach 700mb+ in the main bedroom still 500mb+ surprised to read previous review with so many issues, wonder if it was the router or the actual isp provider causing the problem. works like a charm even under load from 4 tv's and 4 xboxes often running at the same time. might be a old device now but still packs a punch, unless it breaks down in the near fututre i see no reason to upgrade

I need to reboot the router once a week – I've had this router for about a month. Easy to setup, works well for a while. But after a week my computer slows down to the point that loading web pages etc no longer works. The fix, to reboot the router. But rebooting the box once a week is a major annoyance. I would NOT recommend this router for this reason alone. Show details

Wrong! It installed easily and does "work" but unless you're in the same room as the router you cannot even see the 5ghz network and the 2.4ghz is weaker than the ISP provided… Read more

hardware (which is an iinet cable gateway pro).

Even more annoying is that the speed test on the nighthawk app shows over 700Mbps but all other (independent) speed tests show between 7 and 12 Mbps.

A really disappointing experience.
