New Wave 5-in-1 Multicooker v2 NWKA

Extremely dissapointed – Model NW700: I got mine 2 days ago. My first impression was that the instruction booklet was terrible. I'd say it's been translated into English by someone whose first language is not English. A YouTube video instruction would have been a good idea. If you have never used an electric pressure cooker before, the instruction booklet is extremely unhelpful.

Recipes in the booklet often refer to using a brown button which does not exist on the cooker. Possibly the saute button can be used instead? Closing the lid and locking into place worked a couple of times at first, but now it absolutely refuses to lock into place rendering the unit useless.

I don't think I've ever been so upset and so disappointed with an on-line purchase.

Kogan really need to think about this and wether they want to continue selling what is a clearly defective product.

Terrible – Repeatedly built up pressure but would not switch to pressure cook. I would hear a beep and get a message to tell me that the uncooked food was finished once the pressure built up. Could take hours of letting out pressure and resetting before the cooking would start - I could never leave the machine after setting it until I had confirmed it had actually started pressure cooking. Food continually burnt to the bottom of the "non stick" base on the saute mode - it is so high that sauces I was trying to reduce after pressure cooking would be flying all over the kitchen, burning my face and skin as I tried to stir. Then the lid stopped closing. I had used a previous model for years with no problems (though I did have to return the previous model for repairs TWICE under warranty within the first year for that same problem with the pressure cooker not working), so knew it was the machine, not my misuse. Returned to get my money back. Had to know and repeatedly state my consumer rights and stand my ground to achieve this as the company tried very hard to avoid refund.
