I have an extremely upset 10 year old son who spent his $400 Christmas money on this scooter that now doesn't even turn on he didnt even have it 1 month. I have tried to contact this company several times with not 1 email back absolutely apauling customer service.
Zero Customer Service!! Stay clear of this shop!! – Purchased an E-Scooter for our sons birthday and it has a E-10 fault that cannot be resolved. Have tried to contact Newport Skate but with no luck. Scooter barely lasted 2 months. The lack of customer service is appalling.
Scooter didn’t even last assembly - crap! – This scooter is poor quality and made from inferior steel- the handle bars don’t even grasp in the locking mechanism - we have a very upset 14 year old on his birthday… to make matters worse this company doesn’t respond to emails sent as enquiries, emails or instagram messages- don’t buy from this company or waste your money on this scooter. Still awaiting a response to organise a refund… unhappy and disappointed
Update: 2nd scooter has now packed it in – 1st scooter lasted just 72km, now the 2nd scooter has lasted just 284km. Both ridden by 9 and 13 years old so not punished at all. 1st scooter packed it in and I sent 20 emails for zero outcome, I decided just to throw them down the tip. Never again.
Beware any prospective buyers - Newport Skate will NOT warrant their crappy products!
No return contact – Defective scooter, hole for the front valve inside electric motor wheel was drilled out to big from factory and it had a small pinch in tube. They completely ignored all emails after the first one we even reached out through there help on website and nothing. It has been over 2 month and we have emailed every half week. for our 12 yr old girl who has waited and saved some of her own money for it. In the end I had to work out how to strip it down and fix this problem myself but still not 100% as it needed new housing.
Scammers, dont waste your time – Paid $600 for an electric scooter via googlepay. meant to be same day dispatch. after over a week of not replying to emails they finally call me from a private number and try to get me to authorize payment with my name and card details when it had already been paid for. stay away
Really good so far – Bought this to commute on. I have done 2000+ kilometers so far and it's going well. Decent commuter for one living in Fortitude Valley. Also picks up great acceleration when you get on an open flat road in the fastest speed mode. Battery charging speed could be a bit quicker though the distance on charge is decent as claimed. I think the fun factor for price is what counts here. If price is your thing, would recommend.
