Damm dangerous (notice the good reviews are 6 to 12 years ago) – Seemed to be fine then thought wheel alignment all of a sudden was out drooped in to get checked, he said wheel alignments perfect, 2 tyres are about to explode the belts have let go, showed me the taper on the tyre, now my 5th tyre has done same as the rest, never again. Not terrible, but not good either! – Got a full set from one of the well known retailers. Pros: - Budget AT tyres (even it was on special) - Patterns and white letterings were cool - Dry-land performance was not so bad. - Noise is somewhat less than expected. Cons: - So weak. Virtually no side wall protection. You rub it, gone. - White letterings will come off after short period of time. - Horrible performance on wet roads. Show details
JUNK dont touch them – I have these on my ute. They are the worst wet weather tire I have ever driven on, if fact i cant imagine a worse tyre out there. If you like life dont buy this tyre! EVER! absolute junk, if they were $49 each I still would not buy them..... cant wait to get these off my car! Show details
Terrible tyres – Had these on my car for 2 days and regretting it. In the dry, they screech around corners and easing on the gas, it spins. In the wet, it's almost impossible to handle. In the wet my navara just wants to spin, slides around corners unexpectedly. Almost lost control a few times with my daughter in the car. My duelers AT are a lot better then these,… Read more
even tho there bold. Had used them off-road and almost got stuck in the littlest puddle. Don't know who rated or put them to the test to say there are safe or how these even made it to Australia. Tyre shop blamed my driving, till he took my car for a drive. Wouldn't recommend these to anyone. If you value, you and your family's life, steer clear of these tyres.
Lucky There Was NO Oncoming Traffic – Got 2 rear Roadian ATs fitted on rear of 2005 Nissan Patrol at Ayers Rock, felt great ! Next Day got about 50ks out of town and ute veered onto opposite side of road, felt as though I had flat tyre. Pulled up and checked and they were still inflated. We continued up. road and could not drive above 80kph, very scary!!. Rang Tyre Dealer and was told… Read more
what a great tyre they are etc etc and to continue on to Tyre Power at Alice Springs. I increased tyre pressure from 40psi to 50psi and battled on at 80kph. Got to TYREPOWER at Alice Springs and complained about movement in sidewalls, they increased tyre pressure to 60psi and told me what a great tyre they are. We have then continued to Queensland at maximum speed of 90kph and have had several near misses along the way. I have never gripped the steering wheel so tight!!!!!
Accident waiting to happen – My Ute came out with the Roadstone At tyres, never faulted in 72k , never a flat, nothing! Roadstone are Nexen so I purchased the same profile & I noticed the difference straight away, Very poor handling dry or wet, appears they forgot to put sidewalls in the tyres, minor bends that I could take at 100kph are now reduced to about 75-80kph. be honest these tyres are the biggest disappointment in my tyre purchase history.
I had a blow out after 105 klms of wear & a reasonably large hole in the side wall.
I did contact Nexen & got the run around!
after lots of emails I gave up, Nexen Support & Tyres get a big "0" from me.
Terrible tyre – I fitted a set of these tyres on my four wheel drive. They were without doubt the worst tyre I have ever had the misfortune to fit on my 4x4. Out of round, constant vibration from 90 Kmh to 105 kmh. After ten thousand Km, I got so fed up and went and bought a set of General Grabber A/T11. Best tyre I have ever come across and simply can not fault them, Show details
Value for money! – Fitted these to my Suzuki grand vitara wagon. Some caravan towing / some off road over rocky & muddy terrain. 12000kms in & no complaints at all.. If I was ever going to recommend value tyres to friends these would be the ones & I'll definitely be sticking with their brand in future. Show details
Wish I could leave less than one star – Do your research before buying Nexen tires. You'll find they have a ton of tread separation issues. I've had to replace 4 out of 4 tires so far and worried about the last original. Nexen would not warranty the defective tires. They've had numerous complaints. Said my tires were "overloaded" not sure how you overload a front tire. I'm out… Read more
almost $500.00 and 3 tire changes, and 3 trips to the tire store. I will not let my family drive the Tahoe anymore for fear that the last tire will blow out. Mine were Nexen Roadian AT 265/65/18
Know their limits – These are great budget tyres with good grip in dry and wet and decent durability. You get a bit more than you pay for, but they have limitations. Side wall and between tread protection is concerning. Small 1-2 cm sharp plant spines such as those of a prickly pear cactus or thorny plant, will penetrate the rubber and the inner ply. For desert… Read more
driving invest in a set of quality tyres with a stronger construction. For general hwy driving, bush tracks and light muddy terrain, these tyres will serve you well.
Great 4WD Tyre – Had these tyres on for 6000klm now and although I am not into serious 4 wheel driving I have had them in sand and very silty soil they have performed impeccably without lowering tire pressures. I tow a van as well and have had no dramas at all, they are a quiet tyre and good in the wet. Wear wise it is very early to tell. The price is excellent… Read more
and they are available from Tyrepower.
January 24th 2018 Update: Follow Up
Well done over 20,000klm on these tyres and they continue to excell. Wearing very well, I would say 60-70k out of these, they are still quiet and I’ve had no punctures and minimal Air loss over several months from them. I think they re getting hard to find for some reason which is a shame. I would continue using these.
Great tyres and hard wearing low noise – Why pay more these tyres r excellent for on or off road at a great price a lot of major car makers are using them say no more, I have put them on my wife's car handles great I think they are an excellent choice for any one may it be off road or on road Show details
Good Value Tyres – I got a complete set of Nexen AT 255R15 tyres for my 2001 SR5 Hilux. These Korean manufactured tyres are very quite on the road, with excellent handling. So far unproven off road but anticipate no problems. Wearability unproven. So far overall very happy and excellent value for money.

High Milage - 140,000kms and still going! – I had these put on my Mazda Bravo 4WD on price alone and they have not let me down, I am nearing the low tread mark and have covered approx. 146,000km's - I'll make 150,000k's for sure. Show 2 replies
Awesome – I changed from the OE Bridgestone tyres to Nexen's on price but let me tell you they are better value, better handling, better feel and to top it off they were at least 100 bucks per tyre cheaper. Its a win win for me and the Nexen tyres. I have now put them my daughters car and they are very happy aswell. Price, grip , comfort all equal or better than the big company tyres Nothing at all
Damn good Tyres – I Did 86000 Km. on a set of Nexen AT11(2) tyres, towing a caravan around large chunks of Aus. including plenty of gravel road and off road work. They bag out nicely for sand work. A bit of noise on sealed roads, and not world beaters on wet sealed roads. I recon they're great and replaced the originals with Nexen again. Excellent service Slightly noisy but no real problem Show reply
